Whatcha Reading?

Good afternoon, folks...

I have about 10 minutes before I have to run like the wind and get ready to run errands and cook/bake. My dad is coming over this evening to eat dinner with us, and I'm making an alfredo sauce (yes, from scratch, I have a nice receipe) and a brownie pie that looked pretty simple. (I love to cook/bake, but I like to have them simplified. Sometimes I just don't have the time to put together that wonderful Carrot Cake found in Joanne Fluke's The Carrot Cake Murder or the Apple Spice Cake found in Laura Childs' Tea Shop Mysteries) So I'm glad I found something simple.

Anyway...real quick...What's everybody currently READING (NOT working on).

If you look on the sidebar I always put what I'm currently reading. Right now it's Ella Enchanted by Gail Carson Levine. I've read it before, but I really like it.

So it's your turn. Whatcha reading?

Have A Tall Tale Thursday Afternoon/Evening!

I'm reading a book called "How I Stole Her Husband" by Liz Ireland. It's excellent, but I think it's kind of old. From the chick lit days.

I'm just starting a couple books that my editor gave me to read. He thinks they'll help me out. Neither are something I'd read normally.

"Swan Song" by Robert R. McCammon

and "Boneman's Daughter" by Ted Dekker

Both are more horror type's and I would never pick them up off the shelf. But, I need a small bit of that feeling in my book, so I'm going to go with it. He's a good guy...

Stephanie--don't underestimate the chick lit genre...it's apparently alive and well LOL. I hope you enjoy it. :-)

J.J.--For some reason the McCammon title sounds familair. Not sure why. I hope you enjoy those novels and learn all you need to from them! :-)

It's Worth A Fortune

Happy Tuesday Everyone, Does anyone remember the song If I Had A Million Dollars by Barenaked Ladies ? I can't remember when or how I was first introduced to this song, but it's a fun song. So, how about if you had a million dollars? What would you do with it? Of course there's the responsible things to do with a million dollars--pay off debts, and such like that. Then there's the question of whether or not you give to charities, and how much. But, suppose you answered all those questions and you still had quite a lot left; what would you do with it? Maybe I'd go to Disney World. I've wanted to go, and I've never been able to. Or, perhaps I'd go to Germany and England, and Belgium (three of the countries my ancestors are from). Travel around seeing family and friends I don't see often. There's all kinds of possibilities. So, what about you? What would you do with a million dollars? Have A Tremendous Tuesday!

It's All About August..

Hi Everyone! End of August is coming up, and thus, it's time for a monthly update from yours truly. Currently, I'm waiting on some responses on queries for Sugar & Frost . There's been a bit more interest since #UnhingedPit and #questpit, so that's great. I love this story so much, that I'm happy with other people get interested. As far as I'm concerned, it's a fun read. I call it the "book of my heart" because it's just exactly something I'd pick up as a reader and cuddle up with a comfy blanket in a chair, couch, or in bed, with something hot to drink and just enjoy. I also dedicated it to my siblings, so there is a personal aspect to it, too. Other manuscripts:  Moonrise Pack: Shifter Secrets (YA Fantasy, wolf shifters, sweet romance) is in edits--I finally sat down and started working on it. I'm not very far along in the editing, yet, but hopeful about polishing it. I had made a poster for it for #PosterPit since they allow W...
