Waiting For Fall & This Week's Releases...

Happy Monday All, It's back-to-school for a lot of people (including my offspring) and I'm looking toward Fall. I love Fall and Winter (just not snow and ice) and fortunately I live in a place that can get cold but generally doesn't snow and hardly ever has ice. Warm sweaters, long pants, cozy blankets. Sign me up! I'm also looking toward the first weekend in October. Why? It's the Northwest Houston RWA's annual Lone Star Conference and it's my 5th year going! Contrary to previous years that I've gone, it's going to be the FIRST weekend in October, rather than the 2nd. Saturday, October 5, 2013 all day long. If you haven't signed up, go check it out and see if there's still room! You do NOT want to miss this opportunity. This year Donald Maass is our keynote speaker. There are so many great books coming out this week , I just know I'm going to miss one (or more) but I'll do my best... Elvis Is A Keeper by Shauna Allen (b

What's Going On?

Happy Tuesday All, Strep throat decided to visit my house. Offspring has it, but he's doing well. He's on antibiotics. I've got a touch of it or something like it. So I'm on antibiotics, too. I'm tired, but other than sore throat, doing okay. Revisions continue on Immortal Dreams Book 1:  Dream Weaver . We'll see what happens with that. Started Book 2 of the series, but I won't reveal the title right now. Working on writing book 2 in the Third Realm books. All's Fair In Love & Lion is the first one. The second will follow Loralyn Xavier and is currently titled Out Of The Flames . Once that's all set, we'll see what happens next.  In the right hand margin there's options to subscribe to this blog, and to also sign up to receive my Newsletter. To keep up with what I'm doing, be sure to add your name. (I'm also on Facebook and Twitter ).  There's also a link to my official website in the margin, too. Currently rea

Girls' Night Out

Happy Friday All, Almost a year ago, Girls' Night Out was born for me and 3 of my friends, Sarah, Lesley, and Prescilla. Once a month, we got together, went out for dinner, and coffee. It was our chance to hang out with each other, catch up, and have a good time. As a wife, mother, and writer, it was a chance for me to be with my friends, and just kick back and relax.  A few months ago, Prescilla had moved out of town. With Sarah's death in February, Prescilla had been a bit "off the grid" to receive the comforting presence of having Lesley and I around. We both kept in touch with her through phone, but she hadn't been to a Girls' Night Out in a while. Wednesday I got a call, and I knew one of two things. Either Prescilla was in tears missing Sarah (who was like another big sister to her) or she was on her way into town. Turns out, the latter was correct. She said, "I'll be in town in about two hours."  I've gotten used to her spur-of-t

Thank yous, WIPs(Works In Progress), & Favorite Character...

Happy Thursday All, I'm sorry I've been neglecting the blog. It seems like I haven't had too much to say that I don't already say on Facebook and/or Twitter, so I wondered if it mattered. However, I thought about it, and I figured if there were people who weren't on Facebook or Twitter, and wanted an update, then it would be a really good idea to post here. Besides, some stuff I post on the blog is too long for a Facebook update or Twitter. :-) First of all, thank you to everyone who has read and enjoyed A ll's Fair In Love & Lion . Some of you left very nice comments in a review on Amazon, and some of you have contacted me through Facebook or Twitter. You don't know how much that means to me. :-) Currently I've been working on revisions to a novel that   is the first book in a YA/New Adult Paranormal Series.  I'm also working on the Romance novel that comes after AFINL&L. The YA/New Adult novel ties in my love of Greek/Roman Myt
