Interview A Villain

Happy Thursday All, Tuesday I talked about spending time with your favorite heroes and heroines , in keeping with the theme of spending time with favorite novel characters, I thought we'd shake things up and go with villains. Villains come in all shapes and sizes. From not completely evil to downright scary. Some of them have short attention spans, like Idris, in Shanna Swendson's fantasy series (starts with Enchanted, Inc .). Idris is trying shady things with magic that are frowned upon. He'd be a bigger threat if his attention span wasn't so short...which means when people who concentrate longer than 5 minutes join up with him he becomes a formidable foe. I think I could handle meeting Idris...as long as he was by himself. I wouldn't want to be caught in a dark alley facing some of the monsters found in YA author, Tera Lynn Childs' Sweet Venom . Ever get the shivers over the One Ring in J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord Of The Rings ? The people who rally b...

Bite That Beast!

Happy Tuesday Everyone, Monday was a wet day in Texas. Very wet. But I'm happy to report that my end of town did all right (from what I could tell). Unfortunately, there were people who had to evacuate their homes in another town, and there was flooding in different areas. Hopefully those people's cars and homes don't sustain a lot of damage. For those of you who pray, please offer up a prayer for them. I did remember to take a picture of my lion (Monroe, hero of my novel) ornament I've mentioned, but because I've lost the hook up wire for my camera, I'll have to go take it in and get it put on a disc so I can upload the photos (yes, I took more than one LOL). So, I've finished reading all the books I got for Christmas. The one I haven't reported on is Tera Lynn Childs , Sweet Venom (YA Paranormal). It's the story of 3 girls who look exactly alike. At first they don't know about each other. Gretchen grew up with adoptive parents who were...

Kick-Your-Butt Allergies, Or, How To Imitate Sneezy

Happy Thursday All, Is it really Thursday already? Gosh, time flies when you're sick. Or slows down, depending on who you are. That's right. I've been sick. Allergies laid me up in bed with my computer and Christmas gifts in the form of DVDs of Seasons 5, 6, and 7 (final) of Sabrina The Teenage Witch. Good news--I got through all the episodes (I just have to watch the TV movie special feature on the last disc of the final season). The bad news? Didn't get a lot done in the way of writing, reading, or pretty much anything else. For the most part I've finally quit imitating Sneezy the Dwarf (from Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs ) and I found that turning off the heat during the day has kept some of the problems from flaring. Namely, my eye finally stopped tearing and my nose quit running and I started feeling a little better. I've got some medicine and a nasal spray and I'm doing better than I was, but I'll tell you what...I hate allergies. Fortunately...

I Return, Bearing News...

Happy Wednesday Everyone, Life has been a bit on busy side. I was doing some edits and now I've been working on another novel. Offspring is dealing with weather changes and respiratory annoyances, but I think offspring should be okay. (And yes, I have started my Christmas shopping). Most often you'll find me on Twitter. I'm finding that there's a lot going on there. Whatever you think of Twitter (good, bad, indifferent) it's definitely often where you get information first. I find out about blog posts, give aways and releases that way. You'll find the posts I post on Twitter in the margin of this blog under the header: Twitter Feed. Tuesday C.C. Hunter posed a question on her blog regarding her Shadow Falls series. If you've read them, are you Team Derek or Team Lucas . I answered on her blog (I am so Team Lucas I could start a cheer!) Anyway, go ahead and check it out--it's lots of fun. I'm so far behind on things for this blog, I don'...
