Watch The Hands...

Happy Tuesday Everyone! I've got a question for you: how fast can you touch-type? I'm talking typing on a computer or typewriter keyboard without looking at your hands, and with reasonable accuracy? I haven't checked my times in YEARS, but last time I was tested I was around 80-words-per-minute (wpm). You think that's impressive? Well, don't. I had an uncle who could type 100 wpm. Yes, you read that right. One-hundred words-per-minute. During the Vietnam War, there was a doctor who told the people who were sending my uncle's unit over to Vietnam not to send him because he needed him to type out prescriptions. Later it was found out that the majority of those in his unit had been killed.  My uncle lived because he could type fast and the doctor needed him. Crazy, huh? I figure it's God's grace there. Now, touch-typing didn't save my physical life, but it did save me academically. When I was in the sixth grade I was diagnosed with learning disabi...

New Computer, Sad News, & Good News

Happy Monday All, I apologize most profusely for the lack of attention I've given the blog lately. Two weeks ago this Wednesday one of my dear friends passed away. I've known this person for 15 years and she passed quite suddenly (cause of death is still unknown). Because I've been so close to her and her husband (I've known her husband for 17 years, and introduced them to each other), I had to help with contacting other friends and doing different things to help her husband. The wake and funeral were this past week, so I was pretty busy with that. However, given that I have responsibilities to my husband, my offspring, and my writing, I'm now ready to get back into the swing of things, including posting more on this blog. I've received the first round of edits from my publisher for Surreal . The title will probably be changed, but it hasn't been decided to what. Once that gets ironed out, I'll have an answer. Meanwhile, I'm going to keep the i...

Computers With Minds Of Their Own & Playgrounds

Happy Friday All, Congratulations to Harvee for winning the Nancy Gideon interview drawing last night! Last night I wrote up a fun post about playgrounds. About how I like to play on the swings (when they have ones that will work for adults). I clicked on the "Publish Post" button and all of a sudden it took me to some sort of search page or whatever and when I came back to my blog the post wasn't there at all! Now when I'm typing up the post it automatically saves it every few minutes. So I can't figure out where it went. So anyway I had asked what every one's favorite thing to do on the playground was and if you still did go to playgrounds? Have A Fabulous Friday and a Great Weekend!

Don't Go Away...I'll Be Back!

Happy Monday All, Please pardon my absence. I've been having computer issues, and so I'm having to be away from posting on this blog until they're all resolved. The author interview I had scheduled for last Friday has been rescheduled for this Friday, for all of you who knew about it (and for those of you who didn't, please be sure to be here on Friday!) It's an exciting interview (I got to meet the author face to face for the first time on Saturday, and she's awesome!) There's also a drawing connected with that interview, so you won't want to miss. Meanwhile, please know most of this has been resolved, just working on some other things. You can pick up a copy of Cheri Jetton's new romantic suspense,  Crimson Snow. You can get it on Amazon Kindle or Barnes & Noble Nook. Also, if you're a reader who likes erotica, P.J. Mellor has a new one coming out called Island Nights . Ms. Mellor said that they're also romantic comedies, so i...
