Dreaming Big...

Happy Friday! It's August...AUGUST! Wow. Is it just me, or does time seem to go faster when you're older? I remember feeling like days were soooo looonnnngggg as a kid...and even as a teen. My birthday always took forever to come (I'm an October baby). Christmas was always a million days away. And summer vacation? Sooooo faaarrr. Not as much anymore. And I'm not complaining, I'm just sort of fascinated with how that happens. One minute you think something is taking forever, the next minute it seems like it happened in a blink of an eye. The funny thing is, when you're waiting for a book release or something like that is can seem so long or so far off (well, unless you're the one on a deadline, then it seems too close! LOL). And sometimes the wait is totally worth it and sometimes you build something up in your mind and reality doesn't quite match up. Either way, finding those moments of anticipation, longing for something...it's always good t...

Wish On A Star

Happy Tuesday All, Admit it. You've wished for something crazy or outrageous before. Maybe as a writer you've wished you were the Super Writer with the power to burst through writers' block with super-sonic ray-gun typing fingers. Is this your wish? Mine would be to be perfectly organized. Never a thing out of place and always know where everything is at any given moment. That would be very helpful. (unrealistic, but helpful; I know organized people, but rarely do I meet a person who never has anything that's out of place). Have A Thrilling Tuesday!

I Don't Do Pink Polka Dots

Happy Tuesday Folks, Those of us who have been through the wedding planning process know how weird things can get. The dreams, the anxiety. Do these things ever make into novels? I suppose even Paranormal has it's paranormal limits. I mean I had a dream that the sleeve of my wedding dress was torn a few months before my wedding. That was a bit creepy. And why I was wearing my wedding dress just to walk around the house in my dream still escapes my comprehension. Not to mention the fact that a friend of mine had a dream that her dress was like pink with purple polka dots or vice versa . She was not happy...but she was relieved that it was just a dream and not real. Although, I suggested maybe that would've been funny...she wasn't amused. Go figure...I found out later when I was a bride (11 months later) why those kinds of things are not amusing to brides. So...I wonder...has anyone put those wedding dreams into a story? Because so far, in all the books I've read I'v...

So It's Wednesday

Good Morning All! It's Wednesday, which means the week is half over. Yesterday was interesting. My husband had off, but I didn't see him much during the day because he and my son went out to the Arboretum to have some guy time. I saw them around 3 p.m. (they left around noon). After that, took a shower, and off we went to one of the Libraries. Then to the grocery store, and home again for dinner and to sit down and watch "Wolverine And The X-Men" (the cartoon). My husband and I are both "X-Men" fans. Wolverine has made it on my husband's list of "scoundrels" (included on that is Han Solo, Duncan McLeod--"Highlander TV Show", Indiana Jones and I think a couple of others). Today my husband is back at work, so my son and I have to entertain ourselves. LOL. It's also exercise day, so I'll have to turn on my exercise DVD and workout. (uncoordinated and all!) Yesterday I managed to do some editing on the first chapter of Conjure A M...
