The Grand Debut!

Happy Tuesday (well almost Wednesday),

I'm so excited! Thrilled beyond believe. Late in the evening Tuesday night, All's Fair In Love & Lion went "live" on Amazon Kindle!!

Thank you to Soul Mate Publishing for publishing it! You all have been so helpful. I really appreciate it.

You can buy it by clicking right here.  Hope all of you who buy it enjoy it!

Let The Countdown Begin!

Happy Tuesday Everybody,

If you look in the right hand margin (I hope everyone can see it) you'll see the countdown clock for when All's Fair In Love & Lion is released. If you can see it, you'll notice there's just HOURS left to wait!

I can hear Monroe (in his lion form) roaring his approval. He's ready for him and Sasha's grand debut into the published world. You can share in his joy and anticipation tomorrow and buy the book from Amazon Kindle. From what I understand from my publisher, the book will be available in other e-formats about 3 months from now, and several more months from now available in-print. When I get more of those details, I'll pass them along.

Based on Frequently Asked Questions I've gotten:  Yes, I will post links on where to get it. No, as far as I know, it's not available for pre-order.

I think that covers it.

Tomorrow I'll also be appearing on Melissa Ohnoutka's Eat Read
Rate. This is an article I wrote about how I became a writer and some other nifty little tidbits.

Thursday I'll be on Dana Wright's Bookgirl Knitting book blog to talk about my writing process (can you guess what my process is? Find out if you're right on Thursday!)

Friday, my awesome critique partner, Tess St. John will have an interview I did with the hero, Monroe. What does Monroe have to say about the release? Find out on Friday!

Also releasing tomorrow, is my chapter mate, and author pal, Linda Bennett Pennell. Her book has the same deal as mine (we're both with Soul Mate Publishing) and her novel is called Al Capone At The Blanche Hotel, and I must say, it looks intriguing. :-)

Have A Terrifically Tasty Tuesday!

Updates, A Debut Release, & Coming Soon...

Happy Wednesday Everybody,

Yesterday I received my 2nd round of edits, so I'm currently in the edit cave working on that. However, there's a few things I needed to reveal...

Be sure to continue checking the margin of this blog. Details of another blog appearance have been nailed down, so I added them to the schedule. I'll be the guest of chapter mate (and talented author), Teri Thackston on her blog, Gimme A Little Kiss on July 28, 2013.

Congratulations to one of my other chapter mates, Jenn Langston, on her debut release of her Historical Romance, His Perfect Bride! It's available now through Amazon Kindle.

Talented author pal of mine, Mary Lindsey, has a new Young Adult (YA) Paranormal coming out, Ashes On The Waves.  This Poe-inspired novel is available June 27, 2013. It'll be available through Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

So what books are you looking forward to releasing?

Have A Wonderfully Whimsical Wednesday!

The Bethany Averie ALL'S FAIR IN LOVE & LION Blog Tour

Happy Thursday Everybody,

Hope you're having a great week! Mine has been all right. Been working on blog posts for my guest blog appearances.

I've been asked to appear on 4 different blogs! I'm very flattered and excited. I've never been on a blog tour before (then again, I've never been a published novelist, either...well, that part is coming in July, but still).

My current scheduled appearances are as followed (and can be found in the margin of this blog, as well):

June 28th --- I'll be the guest of Tonette Inspired on Four Foxes One Hound. This one is a personal interview--a chance to learn more about me, and more about All's Fair In Love & Lion.

July 10th-- Melissa Ohnoutka has graciously invited me to appear on Eat Read Rate, talking about my journey of becoming a writer (we're going way back on this one!)

July 12th--My illustrious and fabulous Critique Partner, Tess St. John, will have me on her Tess St. John blog--and guess what? A brand new interview with the hero of All's Fair In Love & Lion, Monroe Dubay will be posted for your reading pleasure.

(This one isn't in the margin because I don't have a date set up, yet) Date to be determined - A person I've really enjoyed getting to know, Dana, has invited me on her blog, Book Girl Knitting:  The Eclectic Book Blog, to talk about my writing process and character development.

If you run a reading and/or writing blog you'd like me to make a guest appearance on, please send me an email with a date and subject in mind, and I'll let you know what I can do.

Have A Tip-Top Thursday!

New & Upcoming Releases For Your Summer Reading Enjoyment...

Happy Thursday Everyone,

Thank you for the prayers and positive thoughts for offspring and I. Offspring is doing better--and I'm working on getting better.

There's been several new releases lately and I've been utterly remiss in posting about them, so here we go:

In no particular order:

Author pal of mine, Wareeze Woodson's debut novel, a Historical Romance, Conduct Unbecoming A Gentleman was recently released. You can find it on Amazon.

I did announce when C.C. Hunter's YA Paranormal final book in Kylie's Shadow Falls series, Chosen At Nightfall. I did a short review of this one.

Teri Thackston put out a Paranormal Romance, Wait Until Moonrise, available in E-Reader format.

J.D. Faver has a new Romance, The Reluctant Rancher available through Amazon.

Contemporary Fantasy Author, Shanna Swendson has her newest Enchanted Inc. book available in print (I don't know if it's available on E-Reader yet. Last I saw it was going to be coming soon). Book 7, Kiss And Spell is now available through Amazon.

I recently got into Kiera Cass's YA series, which includes a novella called The Prince, but the first full-length novel in that series is called The Selection. The newest release is The Elite. Very fun series. (And yes, I've read all 3 stories--interested to see what comes next!)

Author pal of mine, Will Graham, has another Thriller, One Minute After Midnight is available through Amazon for your E-reading pleasure.

In no particular order (aside from what month):

Shauna Allen's matchmaking angel will return soon in The Halo Effect. (May 2013) (Paranormal Romance).

Josephine Angelini's YA Paranormal Starcrossed Book 3, Goddess. (May 2013).

Author pal of mine, Jenn Langston will have her debut novel, a Historical Romance, His Perfect Bride, coming out in June 2013.

Of course, there's my debut Romance (Fantasy & Paranormal elements), All's Fair In Love & Lion coming out on July 10, 2013. But y'all already knew that. :-)

Lesley Livingston has her second book in her Starling series, Descendant, coming out late August 2013. (YA Paranormal).

There's an author pal of mine who I believe has her debut Romance coming out in August 2013. I'll double-check details and have to get back to you all on that. (It's not listed on her site or Facebook page, so I'll have to ask her).

What other novels are coming out in May, June, July, and August that you're looking forward to? Please share that information in the comment section. Thank you!

Side note:  For anyone new to commenting on my blog:  All comments come to me FIRST for review. Once I see them, I publish them, and then they show up in the comment section. I know this seems a little tedious, but after some problems I had in previous years, this seems to work best. It also cuts down on duplicate comments, since I can eliminate any extra same posts when I review them.

Have A Tantalizingly Thrilling Thursday!

Step Into My Tattoo Parlor...

Happy Wednesday Everyone,

Wow, what it is about Wednesday that the last post and this one are both on a Wednesday? I promise, I didn't plan it that way.

Today is an incredible day. Not only did a cold front finally deign to pass through the area, thus making it more January weather, rather than say...APRIL weather around here (YAY) it's also the release of my chapter mate and friend's contemporary Romance novel, Inked By An Angel.

Currently I've only found it available through Soul Mate Publishing's website, but I'm sure Amazon and Barnes & Noble will have it up eventually. It's in e-book form. The good news is, if you don't have an e-reader there's apps available for computer and phones both on Amazon and Barnes & Noble for your reading pleasure.

***UPDATE 1/30/2013 12:03 p.m. CENTRAL TIME****:  It's gone "live" on Amazon Kindle I'm keeping an eye on Barnes & Noble. It's currently not available through B&N, yet.

***UPDATE 1/30/2013 4:29 p.m. CENTRAL time*** It's now gone "live" on Barnes & Noble Nook. ***

I've read maybe the first 5 pages of Inked By An Angel quite awhile ago. Shauna and I were in the same critique group and she had the pages with her. I was intrigued when I read it, but never had the opportunity to read more. I'm delighted she's got it out, and I look forward to reading the whole thing!

If you get a chance, please drop a line to Shauna to congratulate her on her release. You can find her on Twitter @ShaunaAllen101 and on Facebook. You can also find her on her website where she also has a blog. And yes, go pick up your copy of Inked By An Angel!

Have A Whimsical Wednesday!

Congratulations, Katie McGarry!

Happy Tuesday All,

Today I want to draw your attention to debut author, Katie McGarry.

I met Katie a couple of years ago through the NWHRWA's Lone Star Contest when I was the YA Category Chair. Katie's story intrigued me, and I went on to hope it would do well in the contest. She ended up being a first place finalist for the YA category.

Talking to her on the phone to alert her she was a winner was a joy. She was sweet, humble, and her excitement was contagious. She went on to tell me she had just gotten an agent and I couldn't have been happier for her.

Now, around 2 years later, I celebrate with Katie the release of her YA novel, Pushing The Limits.

I can't wait to read this story. I've been curious about it, let me tell you.

If you all have a chance, stop by her page, or look her up on Twitter. I also hope you all will be as curious as I am to read this book!

So, congratulations, Katie McGarry! Hope your writing career is a wonderful, exciting adventure. Best wishes!

Have A Treat-Filled Tuesday!

Take Another Chance

Happy Wednesday Everyone,

Today is Tess St. John's release day! YAY! It's also my day to review said release, Second Chances. (By the way...you can purchase her book on Kindle / Nook--my computer started misbehaving, so for Nook click here: http://search.barnesandnoble.com/SECOND-CHANCES/Tess-St-John/e/2940012305152/?itm=1&USRI=tess+st+john / or Smashwords...and soon you can get Second Chances in print through Amazon).

Second Chances tells the story of Emma Easton, a not-yet-21 year old wife/care giver to the much older Harmon Easton, who is on his deathbed. When Harmon dies Emma fears her father will come and claim her...after all the estate wasn't left to Emma, but to Harmon's children and Emma is underage. By Regency rules, Emma is back under the guardianship (and control) of her father who has no love for her and until she is twenty-one she's at his mercy.

Knowing that Emma's father was a threat, Harmon's dying wish was for Emma to marry long-time friend, and young widower, Drake. However, after having lost his wife from complications while giving birth, Drake vowed never to marry again. He agrees to bring Emma to his house under the chaperonage of his mother and aunt to protect her from her father, but has no interest in marriage.

While waiting for the funeral and reading of the will, Drake and Emma's years of friendship and genuine rapport develops into something much more than just esteem. But will they be free to embrace this second chance at love, or will Emma's father put an end to their new found joy?

Tess has a way of weaving a story that you feel emotion for the characters--whether sympathy, hatred, or concern. She makes you care about her characters and their stories.

I look forward to all of Tess St. John's releases with excited anticipation. She's an author to keep an eye on--missing her adventures would mean missing great fun.

Have A Winsome Wednesday!

Get Ready, Tess St. John Is Coming Soon!

Happy Monday All,

This week is a special week. My incredibly awesome Critique Partner, Tess St. John, is getting ready to release some of her stories. I'll be reviewing one of them on here this week and giving you information on how to get your hands on them.

Tess and I belong to the same chapter of RWA (which is how I met her). At the time I was joining the chapter, she was the treasurer. I was signing up for the annual Conference (which just so happens to take place around my birthday--so it's my birthday present from my husband the last couple of years and this year it's ON my birthday).

We started emailing back and forth. I met some of the other chapter members at a couple of meetings before the Conference happened, then I met Tess at the Conference.

Those first few emails have sparked a friendship plus Critique Partnership that I feel very blessed to have. She's encouraging, smart, and extremely helpful.

I am thrilled she's releasing her work. I've read several chapters of various novels of hers and readers, the woman's got talent!

So do not be a stranger as I'm going to be talking about Tess St. John over the course of this week--reviewing one of her novels, talking about her website and letting you know how to get your hands on her work.

Before I forget, how was every one's weekend?

Have A Merry Monday!

May Possibilities & Writing..

Happy Wednesday! Yes, I changed the title graphic banner on here. It's to match what I have on my social media pages. Please bear with...
