February, The Month of Many Things...

Happy Friday! We're nearing the end of February, if you can believe it! Sometimes I think this year is going by fast. February is a mixed bag of emotions for me. Early February marks my eldest's birthday, which is a good thing. One of my siblings has a wedding anniversary. Another good thing. Two family members (a sibling and a cousin) have birthdays. (I think other relatives have birthdays this month, too, but I can't remember). Some friends have birthdays. More good things. Unfortunately, my friend, Sarah's death anniversary is also in February. So, while I like Valentine's Day okay, and I'm totally on board with celebrating birthdays and anniversaries, always in the back of my head is February 20th. That's the day Sarah died. This year marked 10 years, which felt big. I couldn't figure out why it felt big, but one of my counselors said "It IS a big one." Leading up to February 20, 2023, I did have several bouts of tears. But none on the ac...

She DOES Exist!

Happy Tuesday Everyone! I've been working out some administrative things and also on this blog, so I haven't posted much lately. I've also been working on the novel I was writing under the Jeannie Averie name, so I've been fairly busy. We are now in April, and already the weather in Texas is in the 80s! I wonder if it's going to get into triple digits this year like it did some other years. You never know. This summer, one of my nephews is getting married. I'm looking forward to that and seeing family. On top of that, I'm working on the newsletter especially for those who signed up at BrazCon. Don't worry, if you didn't make BrazCon there will be a way to sign up. We're going to have some fun items for newsletter subscribers that we won't have anywhere else. Books 5 and 6 in the Immortal Dreams series has been on hold while I work on the Jeannie Averie novel, but that doesn't mean I'll never get back to the series, it just mea...

Seasons Of...

Happy Wednesday Everyone, To those observing Ash Wednesday, hope you have a good beginning to Lent. What's your favorite season? Since I love sunshine and cool weather, anything happy like Christmas and Easter attract me. I love the lights at Christmas, the carols, presents, everything. It's about anticipation and joy. Easter is about new life, second chances, and redemption. So what's yours and why? Hope everyone has a good Lent. Have A Wonderfully Winsome Wednesday!

Ash Wednesday

Happy Wednesday All, Because it's Ash Wednesday and the first day of Lent, I'm going to take a day off from a usual post today. I'll be back on Thursday. If you missed yesterday's post, please go check it out. I did an interview with the talented Loretta Wheeler . Have A Wondrous Wednesday!

Keep Growing

Happy Wednesday All, Happy Lent to all who are starting that time of year. Hope you have a good one. I always thought that was an oxymoron (I love the word "oxymoron" by the way) until I understood what it meant to have a "good Lent". It means growing and learning about oneself and working on becoming a better person--so when you do that, it's a good thing, right? So, that's why I say Happy Lent. And, even if you aren't a Lent practitioner, there's still something to be said for growing as a person. For learning from your mistakes and trying to be a better person. Okay, so on another note, what are you reading these days? (if you look in the margin of this blog it'll tell you what I'm reading). Have A Wonderful Wednesday!
