Welcome To November...

Happy Friday & Happy November! We're clocking in the first week of November if you can believe it! 2021 kinda started slow for me when we had "Snowmeggeddon" in February. Now, it feels like it's going by fast! My editor has sent some of the chapters for my manuscript, and I'm just waiting on the rest. My query letter is written, I figured out a tag line (which I will probably look over again) and I'm working on any polishing that's needed on my synopsis. I've got some other manuscripts in various stages of having started but not finished with the first full draft. I've also got other ideas that play in my head from time to time, so we'll see what happens with all of those. The Author Encounter's Indie Author Day is happening next week (Friday and Saturday, Nov. 12 & 13). Click here for more information on the lineup and tickets . (They're free!) I've started Christmas shopping (I always like to start early so I'm not c...

Life Unsorted...

Happy Wednesday Everyone, Right now, my schedule for posting on here is inconsistent. I haven't figured out a good schedule, yet, so, please, bear with me. I'm also considering what topics to cover, so it might be awhile before I have another post up here. I hope everyone is having a good Spring so far. It was pretty muggy on Tuesday, but that's Texas for you. Humidity can be thick and oppressive. I prefer cooler weather--although not snow or ice. I like 40-65 degree Fahrenheit with sunshine. I like snuggling under warm blankets with a hot drink and a good book (or movie or show!)  Two weeks ago I was suffering horrible allergies, and also dealing with migraines. I'm doing a little better now, but I'm not a big fan of spring for that reason--although I do like some of the spring styles. Summer will be hotter. It's barely April and I'm all ready for Fall and Winter again. I know that the places that have gotten a lot of snow are ready for the warmer...

Busy, But Hopefully Back

Happy Monday All, Whew! This summer has proven to be more eventful than I planned. Offspring was supposed to be in swim lessons for 2 weeks (4 days each week). Unfortunately, even the best laid plans go awry at times. The first week, offspring got sick after the second day of lessons (I had my own health problems that week, too). He had to miss 2 days (well, they canceled the second day due to weather issues, but he would've missed anyway due to his health). The second week I started off with a sinus infection (no problem, I got antibiotics), except Tuesday afternoon I felt foul, then in the evening/night ended up sick! I had to go off the antibiotics, and lay in bed for 2 days. Friday I finally started getting my energy back. Then Saturday I started a new antibiotic, which I finally get to finish today. This past week was pretty good, though. We made it to a nephew's birthday party, and I got some writing done on my WIP, and an idea for another story (I've got severa...

Just A Quick Note...

Happy Thursday All, Today will have to be a short post. I'm going to try and catch up on some ARC reading I have to get done before the end of February/early March. However, things are starting to slowly get better on the health front in my family and we are hoping and praying (and God willing) that we continue to improve and remain healthy for the rest of the month of February, and hopefully (God willing) into March! But because I didn't want you all to worry, I am around...just super busy. Have A Terrific Thursday!

Moody Monday

Morning Folks, Well, it's rainy, gray, and gloomy outside my window and yesterday I was under the weather (still not feeling completely back to my normal self, but trying to get better, and definitely not worse). One of my sisters and nephew are fighting the flu, but fortunately her fever is low. One of my nephews seems to be getting better, so that's good. A friend mine mentioned something about some strain of flu and I know someone who said they had swine flu for awhile (but it was not a bad case). And another friend of mine knows someone who has swine flu. So, tis the season for the flu, regardless of the strain. Yuck! On a more positive note, like I said, I'm doing better. My ears are still bothering me, but hopefully they're mending. My son slept better than he has in days, so that's a blessing, as well. Neither one of us has had a fever so far, so I'm VERY glad of that. I haven't done a lot of writing lately since I've not felt my best. I played a ...
