Please Be Patient...

Happy Friday All, My blog is undergoing RE-construction. I've been getting a lot of emails lately from people saying they weren't able to read the blog--that the dark background was bleeding into the white of the posts making it hard to read dark font colors. This year is the first time I've had this complaint. I have no idea what is going on. I had no trouble viewing anything on this blog from my computer (or the 3 other or so computers I've viewed it on) so all I can say is I'm trying to be as accommodating as possible. I've changed the background design to a lighter design. I plan to continue to use the dark font because it's easier to see on the white background of the blog posts. I've adjusted the content in the margins--unfortunately, not everything is behaving itself. For some reason, despite the fact that I changed the color to black, when I viewed the blog some of the font coloring is a dark-gray or some color like that. I'm not sure ...

Rain, Comments, Contest & Books

Happy Monday All, It's rainy, wet, and thundering around here--not cool and very gloomy out, which isn't really conducive to feeling awake and peppy, but I'm going to try anyway. I've got my coffee, so that should help quite a bit. I don't know about you all, but I'm sick of allergies. I've got them and my offspring has them and either way you look at it, it's just annoying, right? Well, the upside is, I'm feeling a bit better and I got some rest yesterday, so hopefully I'm mending the rest of the way. There's a couple of things I wanted to address...first off: I've been getting some questions lately about posts not showing up. Let me explain:  comments are, in fact, showing up...the thing is, every single comment goes through moderation. That is, they show up in my administrative files on Blogger. When I sign in, I see them, and press the "Publish" button and then the comment shows up in the comment section of the blog ...

NEW RELEASES ALERT!!!

Happy Monday Everybody, PLEASE NOTE:  In the margin of this blog I've supplied a post regarding the problems some people have been with trying to comment on this blog. I'm going to be implementing a new thing for posting comments on here to see if that cuts down on some of the problems. The post in the margin has information on what to do if, for some reason, Blogger won't let you comment. Whew! There are new releases popping out all over the place... Not too long ago, Rick Riordan put out book 2 in his Heroes Of Olympus series, Son Of Neptune (which I gotta pick up, soon!) Apparently Vanish by Sophie Jordan (book 2 in her dragon series) has come out (yet another one I need to get my hands on--I loved Firelight ). (It came out in September). Tess St. John's second Romantic Suspense, Eyes Of Jade is now available on Amazon Kindle and Barnes & Noble Nook for your reading pleasure! (Interesting trivia for y'all:  I critiqued the first 3 chapte...

Computers With Minds Of Their Own & Playgrounds

Happy Friday All, Congratulations to Harvee for winning the Nancy Gideon interview drawing last night! Last night I wrote up a fun post about playgrounds. About how I like to play on the swings (when they have ones that will work for adults). I clicked on the "Publish Post" button and all of a sudden it took me to some sort of search page or whatever and when I came back to my blog the post wasn't there at all! Now when I'm typing up the post it automatically saves it every few minutes. So I can't figure out where it went. So anyway I had asked what every one's favorite thing to do on the playground was and if you still did go to playgrounds? Have A Fabulous Friday and a Great Weekend!

Blogger, Suspense, And Whoo-Hoo!

Happy Friday All, Correction--I'm so embarrassed, I only realized I had put Thursday instead of Friday at around 9:30 p.m.! This was supposed to have been Thursday's post, but it didn't happen due Blogger being down, as of 11:08 p.m. For about 2 days blogger was down for maintenance reasons. I was unable to sign in or update. I just now found out it's up and running and so I can finally get back to my Monday through Friday posting. The other day I got an email in my inbox from a friend of mine saying he had put out on Kindle and Smashwords his new novel, Street Heat . Will Graham has been a fabulous person to know for the last 2 years. I interviewed him last year (under the name Will Simon) where I talked about some of his other works. He also was the one waiting not far outside the door after my first in-person pitch with an agent, offerring me encouragement and support. (Everyone I know who knows him thinks he's awesome, so it's not just me). He g...
