Ask A Vampire

Happy Tuesday All, They're everywhere. Movies, TV, books, mythology. Some come out at night, some are around constantly. Some hate sunlight, some don't mind it. Vampires. They've been a part of stories for a long time. From Bram Stoker to Stephenie Myers (and a bunch of authors in between and after Myers). Some people are fascinated by them, some are afraid of them and some don't care either way. But what if you could sit and talk with them? What would you say? What would you ask them? What do you think they'd tell you. So my question to you today is this...if you could spend time with a vampire and ask them anything you wanted, which vampire would you want to talk to and what would you ask? Have A Terrific Tuesday!

If History Was Alive

Happy Tuesday All, In the movie, Night At The Museum historical figures, as well as natural ones come alive at night through a magical Ancient Egyptian stone and gold tablet. So, if you had a hold of such magic, what history would you want to see come alive? What questions would you ask? Would you have to know a different language? It also begs the question, what would historical figures think of today's countries and societies? How about technology? If we're talking about ancient civilizations would what we have now scare them or impress them? What do you think? Have A Treat-Filled Tuesday!

It's Magical!

Happy Wednesday All, From mermaids to dragons, I'm enjoying the fantasy/paranormal (when am I not?) So that makes me wonder...if you had magical powers what would you do with them? Fly instead of drive? Wave your hand and be showered, dressed and ready for the day? Housework and laundry would be done in record time in my house. Shoot, I could cook up a very involved dinner in seconds! The sky's the limit...what would you do with magical powers? Have A Wand-er-Full Wednesday!

It's Worth A Fortune

Happy Tuesday Everyone, Does anyone remember the song If I Had A Million Dollars by Barenaked Ladies ? I can't remember when or how I was first introduced to this song, but it's a fun song. So, how about if you had a million dollars? What would you do with it? Of course there's the responsible things to do with a million dollars--pay off debts, and such like that. Then there's the question of whether or not you give to charities, and how much. But, suppose you answered all those questions and you still had quite a lot left; what would you do with it? Maybe I'd go to Disney World. I've wanted to go, and I've never been able to. Or, perhaps I'd go to Germany and England, and Belgium (three of the countries my ancestors are from). Travel around seeing family and friends I don't see often. There's all kinds of possibilities. So, what about you? What would you do with a million dollars? Have A Tremendous Tuesday!

Super Hero Writer To The Rescue!

Happy Monday All, Do you like super-heroes? I do. I've liked watching their shows and some of their movies. It's fun to imagine "what if" I could do that? Or what if I knew someone who could? So, I propose we authors have a superhero of our own. But that super-hero needs a name, a costume and powers. I'm thinking super-sonic editing skills (edit an entire book in 3 seconds flat! It's all set and ready to go out to agents and publishers, who adore it) What about super-strength to break through writer's block? You all tell me what powers, costume, and name a super hero writer would have. Cape or no cape? I'm thinking the super hero should be able to fly to the rescue of authors everywhere. Have A Marvelous Monday!

Lost In Thought...Oh Were You Talking To Me?

Good Morning Everyone, Whew. I just got done reading all the blogs I follow (it took awhile LOL, since I was also commenting on the new posts or answering questions). But I'm not complaining. I like seeing what everyone is saying on any given day. It's fascinating. Let's figure this post is sort of in conjunction with yesterday's post . However, I'm taking it in another direction this time. I'm a daydreamer. Like the "What if" questions that pop and bounce around in my head I'm often lost in thought. Sometimes about something that's going on, a story I'm working on or a possible story. You know that feeling...when you've got a glimmer of an idea and you're just making out the vague shapes of the characters and hearing their dialogue. You think "Oh my, oh come on...this is great...but...I need more...I need something concrete..." so you keep up with the vein of thinking going "yes, better, here it comes!" Then ...
