What's That In The Snow?

Happy Monday All,

Before I get started on today's topic, just letting anyone who doesn't have a Nook or Kindle that Melissa Ohnoutka's Faithful Deceptions is now available in print!

Last week I started reading Cheri Jetton's Crimson Snow. Cheri has written a  romantic suspense that people who don't normally read suspense would enjoy picking up.

Ex-Cop Daniel Leeds thought he had left the horrors of the street when he moved into the Upper Peninsula of Michigan ("The U.P." which is what Michiganders call it--just ask my Michigan relatives and my parents, who are from Michigan). What he didn't expect was to find his neighbor's sister unconscious in the snow...bleeding.

Being a good guy, he immediately helps her (calls an ambulance, stays with her at the hospital until her brother and sister-in-law gets there, talks to her in a soothing voice).

While Sara is willing to explore her interest in him, Dan finds himself fighting his attraction to Sara. When you really think about it, they're just so different: she's an inner-city teacher for Detroit, determined to make a positive difference in high schoolers' lives; he's craving the calm of the U.P.

But when he finds out the shooter isn't done with Sara, he finds himself returning to the world he left behind.

Will he be able to save Sara's life? Can they find enough common ground to make the relationship work? Or are they doomed to be broken hearted no matter what happens? And will they all make it out of this in one piece for the question of their relationship to even matter?

I urge you, my readers, to pick up Cheri's book, Crimson Snow and find out. Available on Amazon Kindle and Barnes & Noble Nook.  Definitely a good addition to your bookshelf :-)

Have A Magical Monday!

Thanks so much, Bethany, I'm thrilled you liked the book. I spent an entire winter on Sugar Island for the complete "snow experience", starting with a few flurries and ending with it still hip deep when I left that Easter week.

One of the first things to catch my notice was the pickup truck accessory they use up there that we don't see here on the Texas gulf coast. Now we Texans love our trucks and trick them out with every imaginable do-dad; light bars, chrome brush guards, gun racks, etc. But I've never seen one here with a snow plow blade! I'm sure the guy at the Sault Ste. Marie gas station thought I was a nut case when I jumped from my little SUV, camera in hand and asked if I could take a picture for my kids back in Texas! LOL!

I don't blame you! You'll have to show me that picture...sounds like fun.

Thanks for dropping by and keep writing :-)

Hi Bethany and Cheri!:)

Great write up. I've downloaded Crimson Snow, but haven't read it yet...but I can say, I'm really looking forward to reading it:)
Knowing you personally Cheri, I have no doubt that the writing will be excellent:)
I love the plot, and the setting. I was born in Michigan, transferred here when I was young, hence the southern accent that has taken over my speech:)
I have very fond memories of Michigan...we used to ice (pronounced "ahce" by me now;) the backyard and skate on it until the next snowfall came and created imaginary mountains for us to fling ourselves inside.
I enjoyed the interview...and wish you much success with your work Cheri!

Lo/ZuZu/L Reveaux (If I get one more persona, I'm never going to be able to find myself:)
