Dancing Dogs, A Gorgeous Website & TV

Happy Monday All,

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! My weekend was fun, was yours?

During the weekend I finished a novel by Susan Donovan entitled Take A Chance On Me. I really enjoyed this book. It had a disco dancing Chinese Crested dog in it. An attorney and a vet were the romance part of it. The vet was an animal behavorist. Horses were mentioned, which was very fun for me (I used to take horse back riding lessons). The only thing missing was a couple of fluffy opinionated cats...oh well...maybe the next Susan Donovan book I read? Either way, I plan to read more books by this author. The book was funny, suspenseful, romantic, and imaginative.

As for the Gorgeous Website part of the title...that refers to my critique partner, Tess St. John's website. Tess is amazing. Not only is she a wonderful critique partner, good for discussing ideas, but she's also a  talented author. She'll be putting her work out soon, and I hope you all will take this opportunity to see this woman's imagination. Oh and don't forget to check out Tess St. John's website...like I said, it's gorgeous.

Oh and I did mention TV, didn't I? Late Sunday night (into the very early hours of Monday morning) I was watching The Wonder Years and Doogie Howser M.D . Some shows are still fun to watch. I still remember hearing people in high school singing the theme song to The Fresh Prince Of Bellaire and talking about Family Matters.

So, question for the day:  What are some of your favorite TV shows--ones you like now and ones you grew up with?

Thanks so much for the plug, Bethany...Lately I've been watching the game show network, the cameras are more steady on old shows and I don't get as dizzy...so I have to say The $25,000 Pyramid! I also always loved and still love Seinfeld, Cheers, and Wise Guy (but I haven't seen that one in years).

Not a problem--your website is absolutely lovely. I've seen Seinfeld and Cheers, but I don't think I ever heard of Wise Guy. Thanks for coming by...always good to "see" you :-)

I was a sickly kid, and I watched a LOT of TV...but I think seeing shows like I LOVE LUCy and The Dick Van Dyke show taught me a lot about the world, like how lawyers fit into people's lives, contracts, renting property, buying houses, etc. I think the game shows also showed me a lot; I was fairly sophisticated, even if I couldn't jump rope well! When Iwas young, they had a lot of celebrities on game shows.
I still like Jeopardy.
I have been watching a lot of Star Trek, Next Gen and Voyager online; I like the crazy-type who-dun-its like Psych, Lie Yo Me, and Monk.I also like the serious, limited-run British PBS-type.
I don't get to see it as often, but I don't know that I have ever seen a Ghost Whisperer that didn't make me cry! (I miss seeing the antics on 'Charmed'. I guess I am kind of eclectic in my tastes.

Voyager is one of my favorite Star Treks (husband doesn't like it as much) but we both agree on Next Generation (Captain Jean-Luc Picard rocks!)

I Love Lucy is really funny and I liked some episodes of The Dick Van Dyke Show, but I think I Love Lucy was better.

I haven't seen Monk, not sure about Psych, but I think I've seen some episodes of Lie To Me (it's a fun show).
