June Doesn't Just Mean Summer...

Happy Friday All,

Well, she's done it again! Melissa Ohnoutka has another story coming out. This is a suspense/thriller (not romance). Shattered Souls Of Innocence is on Kindle and she plans to make it available on Nook soon. This is a short story that's a teaser to link between Faithful Deceptions and the next novel.

What else is out this June? Well, let's take a look:

I found out about Janet Evanovich's Smokin' Seventeen from Write By Bethany Blog follower, Tonette. (Thank you for the heads up, Tonette!)  Smokin' Seventeen will be available on June 21st. I don't know much about her series, so I can't offer many details (but if you click on her name it'll take you to her website).

The rest of these I found on my web travels...

Author Ann Brashares of the Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants recently released a brand new book in the series, Sisterhood Everlasting.

James Patterson is putting out a book for kids called Middle School The Worst Years Of My Life and a book for adults, a thriller called Now You See Her. Both coming out June 27th.

Earlier this month an author named Ann Patchett (who has several other titles out) released a book called State Of Wonder.

Also earlier this month, bloggers Heather Cocks and Jessica Morgan put out a novel called Spoiled. Because I can't seem to find anywhere on their blog that mentions anything about their novel (maybe I missed it, but I looked), so here's 3 places you can find it:   Amazon  Barnes & Noble  Borders

That's what I know of June releases for now...however, given that I am not perfect at keeping up with who's releasing what, I'd ask that you, my dear readers, please give me a hand. If there's any June releases you want to let me know are out (that I didn't mention here) please feel free to add them to the comment section.

So what releases (whether for this month or later this year) are you looking forward to?

Have A Fantastic Friday!

You're welcome,Bethany! Although my niece hooked me on Janet Evanovich's "Number" (Stephanie Plum)series, which "Smokin' Seventeen" is the most recent volume,(and the spin-off,"Diesel", the paranormal series started as 'between-the-numbers' 'Plum' books), Janet Evanovich has enjoyed a huge following as a romance novelist. She has updated many of her earlier books and the publishers have re-released them.
As always,I am looking forward to the newest releases for Mary Janice Davidson, especially her "Undead"(Betsy, Queen of the Vampires) series. "Undead and Undermined" is being released some time in July. I truly enjoyed your interview with her and her husband, sometime-co-author Anthony Alongi.
If any of you can ever see her in person, please do so. The woman is so terribly funny, and approachable.
Have a great day!

Tonette,

Thanks for the tip. If I do get a chance to see MJ I'll go. Hope you make it down this way for the Lone Star Conference in October. It's an incredible conference every year. Learn a lot, hang out with other writers, and lots of other things going on. It's a lot of fun :-)

It's Worth A Fortune

Happy Tuesday Everyone, Does anyone remember the song If I Had A Million Dollars by Barenaked Ladies ? I can't remember when or how I was first introduced to this song, but it's a fun song. So, how about if you had a million dollars? What would you do with it? Of course there's the responsible things to do with a million dollars--pay off debts, and such like that. Then there's the question of whether or not you give to charities, and how much. But, suppose you answered all those questions and you still had quite a lot left; what would you do with it? Maybe I'd go to Disney World. I've wanted to go, and I've never been able to. Or, perhaps I'd go to Germany and England, and Belgium (three of the countries my ancestors are from). Travel around seeing family and friends I don't see often. There's all kinds of possibilities. So, what about you? What would you do with a million dollars? Have A Tremendous Tuesday!

It's All About August..

Hi Everyone! End of August is coming up, and thus, it's time for a monthly update from yours truly. Currently, I'm waiting on some responses on queries for Sugar & Frost . There's been a bit more interest since #UnhingedPit and #questpit, so that's great. I love this story so much, that I'm happy with other people get interested. As far as I'm concerned, it's a fun read. I call it the "book of my heart" because it's just exactly something I'd pick up as a reader and cuddle up with a comfy blanket in a chair, couch, or in bed, with something hot to drink and just enjoy. I also dedicated it to my siblings, so there is a personal aspect to it, too. Other manuscripts:  Moonrise Pack: Shifter Secrets (YA Fantasy, wolf shifters, sweet romance) is in edits--I finally sat down and started working on it. I'm not very far along in the editing, yet, but hopeful about polishing it. I had made a poster for it for #PosterPit since they allow W...

Spotlight On Author: Loretta Wheeler

Happy Tuesday Everyone, There's a gem of an author I've had the privilege of coming across...I'm talking about my friend, Loretta Wheeler. She's a sweetheart and very talented author. I enjoyed her YA Paranormal novella, The Pan Man immensely. And, she also writes Romance. So without further ado, come into my parlor and meet Loretta Wheeler: Me:  In your YA novelette, The Pan Man , you mention Pan's looking for his long lost soul mate. What made you choose Pan out of all the Greek/Roman gods and goddesses? Loretta:  I chose the Greek god Pan, because of the connection with the music. I found later on in the story, (my stories take over and write themselves usually) it applied even more than I realized because of the band's name. I won't mention the name of the band in here, because it's part of the surprise ending. Me:  You're mostly known for your Romance stories. How would you describe your writing style? Hot, suspenseful, sensual, sw...
