TV, YA & Pizza

Happy Tuesday Everybody,

If you haven't watched TLC's Surprise Homecoming I recommend it. Service Men and Women come home and surprise their family members. I usually end up with tears streaming down my cheeks. It's a heartwarming show.

Has anyone read any Jennifer Echols books? I saw a book of hers online and I was intrigued. It's called Love Story and it looks good (was released July 19, 2011). The blurb made me curious about her work.

Okay, so who likes pizza? Raise your hands!

I love pizza. Favorite topping is plain cheese (yeah, I know, boring). But I also like Hawaiian (Canadian Bacon with pineapple) and I'll eat pepperoni and I'll eat mushroom, but I really do like plain cheese pizza best.

I also like pizza rolls and calzones, too. Emeril on the Food Network was talking about calzones one time when I was watching his show and I thought "Hmm, I wonder if that's something I could do." So I got some ingredients, put it together and voila! Homemade (in a manner of speaking) calzones (my husband loves them).

What about you? Do you order pizza, make it yourself or a combination? What's your favorite pizza?

Have A Tasty Tuesday!

Pizza is a basic food group...:) Meat, dairy, bread, and vegetables: the Four Basics we were taught were necessary! Sometimes home made, sometimes frozen, sometimes delivered.

Personal favorite? Pepperoni and cheese!

You're talking to someone who is half Italian here! Extra cheese...sometimes peperoni...sometimes the works! No anchovies, please,(or mushrooms).
Homemade is a hassle, bad frozen is unforgivable!
I do make other Italian foods, quite often...my own sauces. No way my husband will allow any type of jarred sauce in the house...my Mom and I spoiled him!
As a matter of fact, today's entre is Italian beef(beef strips in an herbed tomato sauce) over capellini.

William,

You're also getting fruit because technically tomato is a fruit LOL I don't mind Pepperoni and cheese...that seems to be a popular choice. Thanks for dropping by :-)

Tonette,

I had a feeling you were Italian. I don't know why, but I did. Anyway, sounds like delicious is a motto in your house. I don't know how to make my own pizza/speghetti sauce--Maybe you could email me and we could chat about it.

If I make homemade pizza, I cheat. I get an already made dough and just put on toppings.

Thanks for dropping by :-)

My fav was deep dish Pepperoni and bell pepper...with pepperoncini rings on top! I know it doesn't sound good, but it really was!

Tess,

I like Pepperoni and I like bell peppers, but I don't know about the pepperoncini...I can't remember if I've had those. Deep dish sounds good, though. Thanks for dropping by :-)

Get Thee A Nom De Plume!

Good Evening One & All, Shakespeare wrote in Romeo & Juliet, "What's in a name?...A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." Disney talked about names in Aladdin in the lyrics, "Better get a nom de plume ." (the song, "One Jump"). So, for a writer, what does a nom de plume (or, pen name) say about the author? It could be a different spelling of the author's name, it could be a name that has a significance. They could keep their first name, but change the last, or change both. A pen name is also the name a writer will write under for his or her books. The name that his or her readers will recognize them. The name on the autographs and the one where people will say, "Oh yes, that's so and so, they wrote..." Some authors write under their own names. Others, for a variety of reasons, choose a pen name. What about you? Are you considering a pen name? What have you looked at when thinking of your nom de plume ? For myself, I...
