It's Magical!

Happy Wednesday All,

From mermaids to dragons, I'm enjoying the fantasy/paranormal (when am I not?)

So that makes me wonder...if you had magical powers what would you do with them? Fly instead of drive? Wave your hand and be showered, dressed and ready for the day?

Housework and laundry would be done in record time in my house. Shoot, I could cook up a very involved dinner in seconds!

The sky's the limit...what would you do with magical powers?

Have A Wand-er-Full Wednesday!

Well, I need to know if my powers are limited to begin with...if they aren't limited, I would wiggly my nose like Samantha to do everything--clean, cook, shop, drive, garden, sew, etc. If it was limited to one thing (like most superheroes), I would use it for travel to and from places...and it would be instantaneous.

I'd think of the perfect novel and it would miraculously appear in print with a stunning cover.

I'm glad you're late getting on, as the housework one has me! I wasn't here yesterday because I had cousins of my husband 'drop in ' from California! They were on an eastern trip and found out yesterday morning that we were in the same state as they were,(we had not been in touch).Could've used magic then![Great folks, great visit, by the way]
I would still cook, maybe I am part witch,(I like my potions and cauldrens,I guess.
I'd like to be able to dust people with a 'peace powder". Or just have the right, calming words at any given moment.Yeah, that's what I'd like...but oh, that magic cleaning....LOL!

Meb,

That's a good one! Although, I don't know that I'd want to give up the creative process. But when I face writer's block I could sure use a magic wand to help me out of it. Thank you for dropping by :-)

Tonette,

Great ideas! I actually ended up not having a post for Thursday (today) because last night I was so exhausted I went to bed before I would post, then I was busy and took a nap in the afternoon. This has been a busy week, so I needed the rest. I finished the book I was reading (liked it) Thank you for dropping by :-)

Get Thee A Nom De Plume!

Good Evening One & All, Shakespeare wrote in Romeo & Juliet, "What's in a name?...A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." Disney talked about names in Aladdin in the lyrics, "Better get a nom de plume ." (the song, "One Jump"). So, for a writer, what does a nom de plume (or, pen name) say about the author? It could be a different spelling of the author's name, it could be a name that has a significance. They could keep their first name, but change the last, or change both. A pen name is also the name a writer will write under for his or her books. The name that his or her readers will recognize them. The name on the autographs and the one where people will say, "Oh yes, that's so and so, they wrote..." Some authors write under their own names. Others, for a variety of reasons, choose a pen name. What about you? Are you considering a pen name? What have you looked at when thinking of your nom de plume ? For myself, I&
