An Afternoon With Your Favorite Hero/Heroine

Happy Tuesday All,

Before I get into today's post...don't forget...today is Kerrelyn Sparks' release of Wanted: Undead Or Alive and her launch party (which I talked about in yesterday's post).

They're the stars of novels. They're the ones who you wonder "What will happen to them next?" Oftentimes they're the "good guys", although sometimes there's shades of gray.

We're talking heroes and heroines!

Everything from contemporary genre to paranormal, there are heroes and heroines in pretty much every novel.

Some of my favorite heroes were super-heroes, like Spider-Man and Super-Man...yes, Batman is cool, too.

Some of the ones from the contemporary genres were unlikely heroes, like Simon in Debbie Macomber's The Perfect Christmas.

Prefer a little mystery in your life? Check out Theodosia in Laura Childs' Tea Shop Mysteries.

As in real life, sometimes a contemporary genre hero is a lawman, like in Christie Craig's Shut Up And Kiss Me.

Then there's the ones that are supernatural. Like angel, Malcom, in Suzanne Selfors' Coffeehouse Angel.

Or, you might take a trip in the YA paranormal and find Jinn (a genie!) from Jackson Pearce's As You Wish. Or while you're in the YA Paranormal section, check on Kylie Galen from C.C. Hunter's Shadowfalls series.

Vampires, you say? Glad you asked...head into General Fiction and look up Syrie James' most romantic, and talented, Michael, in Nocturne. Or you can hunt up Vanda in Kerrelyn Sparks' Forbidden Nights With A Vampire.

The point is, whether you're in general fiction, thriller, mystery, romance, or YA, heroes and heroines exist everywhere. Some of them become like friends, even if they are fiction. They are real to us and to the writers.

So, that brings me to today's question...which hero or heroine of a book you've read would you want to spend the afternoon with?

Have A Tip Top Tuesday!

Wow ,Bethany, that's a hard one... when I was young, I had a real 'thing' for Andrei Bolkonsky from "War and Peace". I also LOVE Jane Austin's heroes...but as for contemporary novels, give me either Joe Morelli or Ranger from Janet Evanovich's Stephany Plum Novels...oh, yeah!

Smoke, the lead character in Angela Knight's book Master of Smoke. He's my favorite out of all the paranormal romance books I've read. (And there's so many I couldn't possibly count.)

Tonette,

I hear you on the Jane Austen ones. There's a few I think would be fun to meet.

I haven't read the Stephany Plum novels, but I've heard really good things about them.

Thank you for dropping by :-)

Since I just got done reading Outlander by Diana Gabaldon, I would have to say Jamie and Claire! Those two are my new favorite hero and herione!

It's Worth A Fortune

Happy Tuesday Everyone, Does anyone remember the song If I Had A Million Dollars by Barenaked Ladies ? I can't remember when or how I was first introduced to this song, but it's a fun song. So, how about if you had a million dollars? What would you do with it? Of course there's the responsible things to do with a million dollars--pay off debts, and such like that. Then there's the question of whether or not you give to charities, and how much. But, suppose you answered all those questions and you still had quite a lot left; what would you do with it? Maybe I'd go to Disney World. I've wanted to go, and I've never been able to. Or, perhaps I'd go to Germany and England, and Belgium (three of the countries my ancestors are from). Travel around seeing family and friends I don't see often. There's all kinds of possibilities. So, what about you? What would you do with a million dollars? Have A Tremendous Tuesday!

Happy Tuesday All, ****CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED**** In honor of my birthday (that was on Oct. 15th) I am doing TWO give aways! The FIRST one is TODAY!  Today's give away is a copy of Kerrelyn Sparks' Sexiest Vampire Alive . Kerrelyn, being the awesome person that she is, has agreed to give a signed copy of the novel to ONE lucky commenter on my blog. Here's how it's going to work and please read all instructions CAREFULLY. ONE entry PER person : If you choose to email in your entry: Email to this email ONLY .  Your email should state who your favorite vampire is. And no, it does NOT have to be one of Kerrelyn Sparks' characters, but that would be really cool if you DID mention one of hers. If you choose to enter by commenting on my blog: Leave your FIRST name, email address, and what vampire is your favorite. It can be ANY vampire--but like I said, it would be really cool if you mention a Kerrelyn Sparks' vampire. You don't know Kerrelyn Spa...
