Interview A Villain

Happy Thursday All,

Tuesday I talked about spending time with your favorite heroes and heroines, in keeping with the theme of spending time with favorite novel characters, I thought we'd shake things up and go with villains.

Villains come in all shapes and sizes. From not completely evil to downright scary.

Some of them have short attention spans, like Idris, in Shanna Swendson's fantasy series (starts with Enchanted, Inc.). Idris is trying shady things with magic that are frowned upon. He'd be a bigger threat if his attention span wasn't so short...which means when people who concentrate longer than 5 minutes join up with him he becomes a formidable foe. I think I could handle meeting Idris...as long as he was by himself.

I wouldn't want to be caught in a dark alley facing some of the monsters found in YA author, Tera Lynn Childs' Sweet Venom.

Ever get the shivers over the One Ring in J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord Of The Rings? The people who rally behind Sauron and the ring are rather ghoulish! (I REALLY would NOT want to meet them or see the ring...just saying...too scary for me).

In Lesley Livingston's Wondrous Strange trilogy you're never quite sure if the fae kings and queens are truly good or truly evil. They are such shades of gray, that you're not sure if you can trust them, or if you're better off remaining wary.

However, you ever wondered what it would be like if you could sit down and ask them why? Was it only world domination? Power? Wealth? Boredom?

Or perhaps the villain/villainess you thought was most well written is too scary to even say hi to them.

Either way...what villain/villainess would you want to sit down and talk with if you could?

Have A Thrilling Thursday!

I like nice people, Bethany...that's why I hang out here with you!
Seriously, villians? I am not the 'bad-boys-ya-gotta-love-'em type, but I have to say,I have a THING for Mr.Gold, aka Rumpelstiltskin, in Once Upon A Time.
Very unique question! Thanks.

Tess,

I hear you! Most villains are too scary for me, too.

Thank you for dropping by :-)

Tonette,

Aw, you're too sweet--THANKS!

Yeah, I like Rumpelstilskin/Mr. Gold, too. Although given that it looks like he might be in cahoots with Regina, I'm starting to not like him so much again--but I really liked seeing that "sympathetic" side of him in that one episode, "SKIN DEEP" with Belle!

Thank you for dropping by :-)

It's Worth A Fortune

Happy Tuesday Everyone, Does anyone remember the song If I Had A Million Dollars by Barenaked Ladies ? I can't remember when or how I was first introduced to this song, but it's a fun song. So, how about if you had a million dollars? What would you do with it? Of course there's the responsible things to do with a million dollars--pay off debts, and such like that. Then there's the question of whether or not you give to charities, and how much. But, suppose you answered all those questions and you still had quite a lot left; what would you do with it? Maybe I'd go to Disney World. I've wanted to go, and I've never been able to. Or, perhaps I'd go to Germany and England, and Belgium (three of the countries my ancestors are from). Travel around seeing family and friends I don't see often. There's all kinds of possibilities. So, what about you? What would you do with a million dollars? Have A Tremendous Tuesday!

It's All About August..

Hi Everyone! End of August is coming up, and thus, it's time for a monthly update from yours truly. Currently, I'm waiting on some responses on queries for Sugar & Frost . There's been a bit more interest since #UnhingedPit and #questpit, so that's great. I love this story so much, that I'm happy with other people get interested. As far as I'm concerned, it's a fun read. I call it the "book of my heart" because it's just exactly something I'd pick up as a reader and cuddle up with a comfy blanket in a chair, couch, or in bed, with something hot to drink and just enjoy. I also dedicated it to my siblings, so there is a personal aspect to it, too. Other manuscripts:  Moonrise Pack: Shifter Secrets (YA Fantasy, wolf shifters, sweet romance) is in edits--I finally sat down and started working on it. I'm not very far along in the editing, yet, but hopeful about polishing it. I had made a poster for it for #PosterPit since they allow W...

Spotlight On Author: Loretta Wheeler

Happy Tuesday Everyone, There's a gem of an author I've had the privilege of coming across...I'm talking about my friend, Loretta Wheeler. She's a sweetheart and very talented author. I enjoyed her YA Paranormal novella, The Pan Man immensely. And, she also writes Romance. So without further ado, come into my parlor and meet Loretta Wheeler: Me:  In your YA novelette, The Pan Man , you mention Pan's looking for his long lost soul mate. What made you choose Pan out of all the Greek/Roman gods and goddesses? Loretta:  I chose the Greek god Pan, because of the connection with the music. I found later on in the story, (my stories take over and write themselves usually) it applied even more than I realized because of the band's name. I won't mention the name of the band in here, because it's part of the surprise ending. Me:  You're mostly known for your Romance stories. How would you describe your writing style? Hot, suspenseful, sensual, sw...
