Party On!

Hello Everyone,

Today is my 30th birthday, so I hope everyone has a great day (well I hope that for every day, but especially today!)

I haven't many plans. Workout, hopefully do some writing, maybe walk down to Blockbuster, enjoy the fact that it's not gloomy outside, hang out with my son and when my husband gets home from work, probably hang out with him!

My younger brother called me today (wonderful birthday thing to receive) and we had a nice little conversation. He's a great guy (he's also getting married next year :-) No, I'm not in the wedding, but me and my husband and son are invited, of course LOL).

My Facebook was alive with all kinds of birthday greetings. Took me a minute to answer them all, fortunately answers came to me quickly and I type pretty fast :-) I really appreciated it, though.

As to writing, I didn't get any done yesterday. I don't remember why not. I didn't have a good excuse, so today I definitely have to crack down and get some in.

Today is the deadline for Nathan Bransford's contest, I posted about this the other day. So, if you haven't already answered, check out the post and check out when the time deadline is and if you have time, hurry up and get your entry in!

As to everything else. I finished reading Princess Of The Midnight Ball by Jessica Day George. It's a retelling of "The Twelve Dancing Princesses" and it was very good.

I have a book to pick up and read, so that one will be next. I also have a couple of other books to get to when I can pick them up.

Anyway, low key day, but still glad to be alive and glad I was born!

Have A Tremendously Terrific Thursday!

Happy Birthday to you.

You are so missing my awesome singing voice. Ok not really. I hope you have a great day!

Marsha,

I'm sure your singing is quite melodious and perhaps one day I'll hear it via phone or in person since we live close by. Thank you so much for the song :-)

Happy Birthday Bethany! Sorry I'm late. I hope you had a great day. As you know, birthdays last the whole weekend technically, so have a great weekend too!

It's Worth A Fortune

Happy Tuesday Everyone, Does anyone remember the song If I Had A Million Dollars by Barenaked Ladies ? I can't remember when or how I was first introduced to this song, but it's a fun song. So, how about if you had a million dollars? What would you do with it? Of course there's the responsible things to do with a million dollars--pay off debts, and such like that. Then there's the question of whether or not you give to charities, and how much. But, suppose you answered all those questions and you still had quite a lot left; what would you do with it? Maybe I'd go to Disney World. I've wanted to go, and I've never been able to. Or, perhaps I'd go to Germany and England, and Belgium (three of the countries my ancestors are from). Travel around seeing family and friends I don't see often. There's all kinds of possibilities. So, what about you? What would you do with a million dollars? Have A Tremendous Tuesday!

Spotlight On Author: Loretta Wheeler

Happy Tuesday Everyone, There's a gem of an author I've had the privilege of coming across...I'm talking about my friend, Loretta Wheeler. She's a sweetheart and very talented author. I enjoyed her YA Paranormal novella, The Pan Man immensely. And, she also writes Romance. So without further ado, come into my parlor and meet Loretta Wheeler: Me:  In your YA novelette, The Pan Man , you mention Pan's looking for his long lost soul mate. What made you choose Pan out of all the Greek/Roman gods and goddesses? Loretta:  I chose the Greek god Pan, because of the connection with the music. I found later on in the story, (my stories take over and write themselves usually) it applied even more than I realized because of the band's name. I won't mention the name of the band in here, because it's part of the surprise ending. Me:  You're mostly known for your Romance stories. How would you describe your writing style? Hot, suspenseful, sensual, sw...

It's All About August..

Hi Everyone! End of August is coming up, and thus, it's time for a monthly update from yours truly. Currently, I'm waiting on some responses on queries for Sugar & Frost . There's been a bit more interest since #UnhingedPit and #questpit, so that's great. I love this story so much, that I'm happy with other people get interested. As far as I'm concerned, it's a fun read. I call it the "book of my heart" because it's just exactly something I'd pick up as a reader and cuddle up with a comfy blanket in a chair, couch, or in bed, with something hot to drink and just enjoy. I also dedicated it to my siblings, so there is a personal aspect to it, too. Other manuscripts:  Moonrise Pack: Shifter Secrets (YA Fantasy, wolf shifters, sweet romance) is in edits--I finally sat down and started working on it. I'm not very far along in the editing, yet, but hopeful about polishing it. I had made a poster for it for #PosterPit since they allow W...
