Roll On The Floor Laughing

Howdy All,

People who know me well know I'm a generally happy person. I love to laugh, I love to make others laugh and I especially love to laugh while reading books. If there's something in there that's funny and makes me laugh out loud, then that just makes the book even more awesome in my estimation.

I have characters in my story that lend support to my main characters, but also, in a sense provide the comic portion of my story. Because laughter is good for people. Ever heard the old adage "laughter is good for the soul"? Well, I believe that.

Now, I don't laugh all the time. But, I do laugh often. In fact, it's odd if I go a week without laughing at least once.

Authors like Kerrelyn Sparks, MaryJanice Davidson have made me laugh, to name just a couple.

Dave Barry's another good one for a laugh.

What are some authors that have made you LOL? Do you intergrate humor into your books?

Laugh long and laugh often. I wish you much giggling :-)

Have A Wacky Wednesday!

You know, that is strange, I don't actually read hardly anything that makes me laugh. I do write humorous scenes but usually they are witty not fall down funny. Movies are a different story. I am a huge Vince Vaughn fan. That man makes me hysterical.

Sometimes it's all in the dialogue :-)

It's Worth A Fortune

Happy Tuesday Everyone, Does anyone remember the song If I Had A Million Dollars by Barenaked Ladies ? I can't remember when or how I was first introduced to this song, but it's a fun song. So, how about if you had a million dollars? What would you do with it? Of course there's the responsible things to do with a million dollars--pay off debts, and such like that. Then there's the question of whether or not you give to charities, and how much. But, suppose you answered all those questions and you still had quite a lot left; what would you do with it? Maybe I'd go to Disney World. I've wanted to go, and I've never been able to. Or, perhaps I'd go to Germany and England, and Belgium (three of the countries my ancestors are from). Travel around seeing family and friends I don't see often. There's all kinds of possibilities. So, what about you? What would you do with a million dollars? Have A Tremendous Tuesday!

It's All About August..

Hi Everyone! End of August is coming up, and thus, it's time for a monthly update from yours truly. Currently, I'm waiting on some responses on queries for Sugar & Frost . There's been a bit more interest since #UnhingedPit and #questpit, so that's great. I love this story so much, that I'm happy with other people get interested. As far as I'm concerned, it's a fun read. I call it the "book of my heart" because it's just exactly something I'd pick up as a reader and cuddle up with a comfy blanket in a chair, couch, or in bed, with something hot to drink and just enjoy. I also dedicated it to my siblings, so there is a personal aspect to it, too. Other manuscripts:  Moonrise Pack: Shifter Secrets (YA Fantasy, wolf shifters, sweet romance) is in edits--I finally sat down and started working on it. I'm not very far along in the editing, yet, but hopeful about polishing it. I had made a poster for it for #PosterPit since they allow W...

Spotlight On Author: Loretta Wheeler

Happy Tuesday Everyone, There's a gem of an author I've had the privilege of coming across...I'm talking about my friend, Loretta Wheeler. She's a sweetheart and very talented author. I enjoyed her YA Paranormal novella, The Pan Man immensely. And, she also writes Romance. So without further ado, come into my parlor and meet Loretta Wheeler: Me:  In your YA novelette, The Pan Man , you mention Pan's looking for his long lost soul mate. What made you choose Pan out of all the Greek/Roman gods and goddesses? Loretta:  I chose the Greek god Pan, because of the connection with the music. I found later on in the story, (my stories take over and write themselves usually) it applied even more than I realized because of the band's name. I won't mention the name of the band in here, because it's part of the surprise ending. Me:  You're mostly known for your Romance stories. How would you describe your writing style? Hot, suspenseful, sensual, sw...
