Sinuses Misbehaving, New Releases, & Do I Have Enough To Read?

Happy Tuesday Everyone,

As this image suggests,
lots of Kleenex
have been used

I'm a little slow getting this post up. A family member of mine has a sinus infection, which has made for an adventure I wasn't planning on. The good news is, the family member is doing better today and saw the doc yesterday and got on antibiotics the same day. I have hopes that this person will be much better tomorrow, but it has meant that I don't have the time to myself that I normally would get during the week. Fortunately, today that person seems to be in better spirits, which I hope continues throughout the day.

I expect the family member will improve and get well soon, but positive thoughts and prayers are always welcome and appreciated.

Author (and friend of mine), J.D. Faver has done it again! She's put out a new novel, A Romantic Thriller called On Ice (intriguing title, right?) Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it's available on Barnes & Noble Nook (I'll check with J.D. and see if it'll be available at a later date), however, there are other titles of hers available for Nook users. On Ice, and other titles by J.D. Favor are available on Amazon Kindle.

Blog ideas are beginning to stack up! I have 2 official blog reviews coming up...both are early March releases (don't worry, I've started reading both books...and yes, I can have 2 books going at the same time, I just can't read them at the same moment, so I have to go back and forth...but they're very different so it's not hard to keep them straight--so far so good!)

There's another official blog review coming up later in March--but I already read that ARC (I got it earlier this year, so I was able to get it started and finished rather quickly--I'm looking forward to posting that review).

I have a few other things for the blog that I'm working on, that you'll see once I get it all put together. It's a surprise what else I've got planned. Just keep coming back and commenting and it'll be revealed throughout the year.

Other than that, I've got my 2nd cup of coffee and Vanilla yogurt waiting for me, so I best get this blog post up and running.

Is there a 2012 release you're excited about? Tell me all about it in the comments! Always interested to hear what's coming.

Have A Thrilling Tuesday!

Yes, sometimes it can be a challenge when we have to stop and remember there are other people in our lives. But it is such a blessing. Am sending healing prayers and positive energy your way!

Yes, as always, prayers and I am glad that you are taking care of yourself. We all seem to be getting better this way,(thank you for your concern last week!)
Mary Janice Davidson has a number of releases coming out...we who follow her "Undead" series are MOSt anxious to read how she gets the principal characters out of some bad predicaments that they are in.This is the third of a trilogy within the series. There is also the second in a new trilogy, the sequel to "Me, Myself and Why" which is "Yours, Mine and Ours", which I am truly anticipating. She has been cranking them out, as a new "Windham" werewolf book came out a few months ago.
I am also looking forward to Janet Evanovich's next "Plum" novel, and the new "Wicked"[Diesel]book.
I will NEVER get caught up with all I want to read!

Judy,

Thank you so much! There's another family member who seems to be getting sick, and I'm not feeling perfect (but not too bad and no fever). The good news is, so far I'm holding it together and I have vitamins, fluids, and a good doctor.

Thank you so much for dropping by and for leaving a comment and for all your prayers and positive thoughts :-)

Tonette,

Glad things are working out on your end. Keep up the prayers for my end--we're falling fast and there's several things coming up this month that I've been anticipating for awhile. Good news is, we have vitamins, fluids, and a good doctor--plus God. So I figure we're in good hands.

Yeah, MaryJanice Davidson does seem to be cranking them out lately...but that's REALLY good for an author. Congratulations to her!

Thank you for dropping by and for all your prayers, concern, and comments :-)

Get Thee A Nom De Plume!

Good Evening One & All, Shakespeare wrote in Romeo & Juliet, "What's in a name?...A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." Disney talked about names in Aladdin in the lyrics, "Better get a nom de plume ." (the song, "One Jump"). So, for a writer, what does a nom de plume (or, pen name) say about the author? It could be a different spelling of the author's name, it could be a name that has a significance. They could keep their first name, but change the last, or change both. A pen name is also the name a writer will write under for his or her books. The name that his or her readers will recognize them. The name on the autographs and the one where people will say, "Oh yes, that's so and so, they wrote..." Some authors write under their own names. Others, for a variety of reasons, choose a pen name. What about you? Are you considering a pen name? What have you looked at when thinking of your nom de plume ? For myself, I&
