'Tis The Season

Happy Tuesday All,

Have I ever mentioned I love this time of year? I love the colder weather, I love family get togethers and all of that. I'm thrilled the Christmas Season is seeping in and that I finally started my Christmas Shopping...although, I'm behind.

You see, normally I start in October (I have several people to shop for and some are easier than others). I thought about talking to my husband and going ahead and getting some of it done in October, but other things kept demanding my attention.

So now, I've started.

I don't object to Christmas shopping because I enjoy picking out just the right thing for someone. My problem, like I suggested above, happens when someone is hard to shop for. But when I get a chance to be creative shopping can be fun.

Of course, I have to support my fellow authors. So, many of whom I shop for receive books. Fortunately I come from a family of readers, and pretty much the people I get books for are readers, too.

So in the spirit of supporting fellow authors, here's a list of some authors having releases soon (and in December).

Ciara Gold has one coming. (I believe an E-book: The Keeper Of Moon Haven")

Anna Kathyrn Lanier has one in December. (E-book: A Gift Beyond All Measure).

Laura Childs has one in December. (A Cackleberry Club Mystery novel titled Bedeviled Eggs)

Lesley Livingston's book (that I really want to read), Tempestuous is supposed to come out in December.

I'm sure there's several other authors with upcoming releases, so why shouldn't we be excited about this season?

By the way, if you're looking for a good read while waiting for a new release, I recommend Jane Heller's Some Nerve.

Enjoy the season and make sure you "drink a cup of cheer"!

Have A Terrific Tuesday!

Bethany,
I love this time of year, too. My hat's off to you for tackling shopping early. I intend to every year, but never quite make it.
I have a release coming out, too. Forbidden, the second installment of my Journey of the Damned trilogy hits the e-book shelves December 1st, just in time for the holidays.
A little romance is always the best gift for any holiday, especially when it's cold outside. Cozy fire, hot cup of cocoa and a sizzling book to read? Your gift ideas are great!!
See you on the 4th!!(Hopefully):-)

Robin,

Your career is really going off with a bang (at least from what I can see)--congratulations! (Two releases in one year is really cool!--Best wishes on that and future releases)

I have mentioned your earlier release--I believe in one of my October posts. It's good to have you drop by and mention your new release :-)

I hope you'll get to come on the 4th! Take care of yourself and thanks for dropping by and letting us know about your upcoming release!

Happy writing :-)
Hi, Bethany. Thanks for the plug. I love giving books for Christmas. One year, no one in the family got my husband a book and he wondered what he was going to read now. LOL. I am nearly done with my shopping, too. Which is sorta sad, because I love going to malls during the holiday season.

Anna,

Not a problem!

I get all excited inside when I see those decorations go up. I told my husband this year we had to decorate the outside of the house, not just the inside :-)

Spotlight On Author: Loretta Wheeler

Happy Tuesday Everyone, There's a gem of an author I've had the privilege of coming across...I'm talking about my friend, Loretta Wheeler. She's a sweetheart and very talented author. I enjoyed her YA Paranormal novella, The Pan Man immensely. And, she also writes Romance. So without further ado, come into my parlor and meet Loretta Wheeler: Me:  In your YA novelette, The Pan Man , you mention Pan's looking for his long lost soul mate. What made you choose Pan out of all the Greek/Roman gods and goddesses? Loretta:  I chose the Greek god Pan, because of the connection with the music. I found later on in the story, (my stories take over and write themselves usually) it applied even more than I realized because of the band's name. I won't mention the name of the band in here, because it's part of the surprise ending. Me:  You're mostly known for your Romance stories. How would you describe your writing style? Hot, suspenseful, sensual, sw...

It's Worth A Fortune

Happy Tuesday Everyone, Does anyone remember the song If I Had A Million Dollars by Barenaked Ladies ? I can't remember when or how I was first introduced to this song, but it's a fun song. So, how about if you had a million dollars? What would you do with it? Of course there's the responsible things to do with a million dollars--pay off debts, and such like that. Then there's the question of whether or not you give to charities, and how much. But, suppose you answered all those questions and you still had quite a lot left; what would you do with it? Maybe I'd go to Disney World. I've wanted to go, and I've never been able to. Or, perhaps I'd go to Germany and England, and Belgium (three of the countries my ancestors are from). Travel around seeing family and friends I don't see often. There's all kinds of possibilities. So, what about you? What would you do with a million dollars? Have A Tremendous Tuesday!

Spotlight On Author: Christie Craig

Happy Tuesday Everyone, Sorry about the delay in getting Christie Craig's email interview up. Normally I can just copy and paste interviews from my email into my blog, but this time my blog would NOT let me paste the interview! So everything has to be done manually, which takes longer. Anyway, let me introduce you to Christie Craig: I met her through the NWHRWA , which we're both members of. She's a real sweetheart. Funny, fun, and makes you feel comfortable (you don't feel shy or uncomfortable because she has a very hospitable presence about her). She's also very helpful, offers great advice and encouragement (I know this from experience, she's been very encouraging to me). Christie is a multi-published author of both fiction and nonfiction. Her works include things like Divorced, Desperate & Delicious and her up-coming non-fiction (with elements of fiction) work, Wild, Wicked And Wanton: 101 Ways To Love Like You're In A Romance Novel ...due out this ...
