Happy Monday All,
Hope everyone had a great weekend. Mine was pretty good. Relaxing. What about yours?
I don't know how many times I've mentioned I'm a hopeless romantic (probably at least twice every year since I started this blog, right? So, I started in around 2009, so 4 years, times 2, equals 8). So by now everyone knows I am.
Although I don't call it "hopelessly romantic", I call it "helplessly romantic" because I can't help myself. I'm drawn to pretty much anything romantic. Movies, music, books, dates with husband. Yep.
There's a movie that the Hallmark Channel put out called How To
Fall In Love. In it they talk about whether or not old fashioned romance is dead. I don't think it is. I think if you look hard enough, you find it. Sure, you might have to look harder in some places than other places, but it's there. (It's a sweet movie, and I really enjoyed it...some good dating/personal advice, too).
There's a book out by Dr. Gary Chapman called The Five Love Languages. It talks about finding what way you feel the most loved: Words of Affirmation, Acts Of Service, Gifts, Physical Touch, Quality Time. Very interesting book, and a really good way to understand yourself, and the person you're interested in. My husband and I have a copy, and we both read it. I highly recommend it. There's even a section of Dr. Chapman's website dedicated to The Five Love Languages.
Whenever my husband pays me a good compliment--even if I don't remember specifics--I always remember how it made me feel. There are times he's said just the right thing at just the right time, and I remember it. For me, that's incredibly romantic. Or when we're sitting together, watching a movie or a show, and he just reaches over and touches me. It's like a Romance novel or a movie.
So what's your idea of romance? What makes you feel all gooey and romantic inside?
Have A Magical Moment Monday!

I know I haven't been around;I have been neglecting everyone.I hope I am back on track now. I have only done the bare minimum on the shared blog and , until last night, had abandoned my own.I hope to see more from you soon!
I agree. Feeling appreciated is a BIG part of romance.
Oh, and don't worry if you haven't been around. I totally understand--been fairly busy myself. LOL
