Return To Shadow Falls...

Happy Thursday Everybody,

Originally I had planned to post this on Friday, but I've got several things going on in my world, so I figured I'd post it now.

Today I have an official blog book review for you...

Fans of C.C. Hunter's Shadow Falls series rejoice! A new journey has begun...

Della Tsang might be a bad ass vampire, but underneath her tough exterior you'll find a broken heart.

Having hid the fact she's a vampire from her parents and sister, Della endures her parents' suspicions. She also deals with the fact the guy she was in love with before she turned has left her and (if we're honest, was something of a jerk one of the times she came across him). All she wants is her parents' love and affection, but does she dare tell them about her and her cousin, Chan--who, in fact, is not dead, but faked it when he got turned?

This isn't all she has to deal with. Not by a long shot. There's a brand new being on the Shadow Falls campus and Della doesn't trust him as far as she can throw him--which would be pretty far if she could just get her hands on him. Never mind the fact she finds him attractive--
or the fact he inspired her friends to donate blood just so that she wouldn't have to spend anytime with him during the whole "Meet Your Camp Mates" session.

But there's more brewing than potential boyfriends and distrusting parents. Della's been feeling strange lately and having odd dreams. Not to mention something's wrong with Chan, but nobody will tell her where he is or what's up.

And when you add ghosts to the mix, it doesn't make it any easier.

Mysteries, action, Della's sass, and all your favorite characters from Shadow Falls are back in a whole new adventure.

Shadow Falls, with all its mysteries, romance, adventure, and action awaits you!

Shadow Falls After Dark: Reborn by C.C. Hunter will be available for purchase on May 20, 2014. You can pre-order Della's book by going to Amazon and Barnes & Noble.  Also, be sure to check out C.C.'s novella and another Della story, Saved At Sunrise (which is a great way to get background on Steve, who is determined to win the prickly vampire's heart).  If you preorder (order the book BEFORE May 20th, you can enter C.C. Hunter's publisher, St. Martin's Press sweepstakes)

Have A Thrillingly Terrific Thursday!

Stephanie,

Well Della is pretty bad ass. Read SHADOW FALLS and the other novels in the series and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Thank you for dropping by and commenting! :-)

Get Thee A Nom De Plume!

Good Evening One & All, Shakespeare wrote in Romeo & Juliet, "What's in a name?...A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." Disney talked about names in Aladdin in the lyrics, "Better get a nom de plume ." (the song, "One Jump"). So, for a writer, what does a nom de plume (or, pen name) say about the author? It could be a different spelling of the author's name, it could be a name that has a significance. They could keep their first name, but change the last, or change both. A pen name is also the name a writer will write under for his or her books. The name that his or her readers will recognize them. The name on the autographs and the one where people will say, "Oh yes, that's so and so, they wrote..." Some authors write under their own names. Others, for a variety of reasons, choose a pen name. What about you? Are you considering a pen name? What have you looked at when thinking of your nom de plume ? For myself, I...

Spotlight On Author: Loretta Wheeler

Happy Tuesday Everyone, There's a gem of an author I've had the privilege of coming across...I'm talking about my friend, Loretta Wheeler. She's a sweetheart and very talented author. I enjoyed her YA Paranormal novella, The Pan Man immensely. And, she also writes Romance. So without further ado, come into my parlor and meet Loretta Wheeler: Me:  In your YA novelette, The Pan Man , you mention Pan's looking for his long lost soul mate. What made you choose Pan out of all the Greek/Roman gods and goddesses? Loretta:  I chose the Greek god Pan, because of the connection with the music. I found later on in the story, (my stories take over and write themselves usually) it applied even more than I realized because of the band's name. I won't mention the name of the band in here, because it's part of the surprise ending. Me:  You're mostly known for your Romance stories. How would you describe your writing style? Hot, suspenseful, sensual, sw...
