Updates, Edits, & More...

Happy Tuesday all,

It's been a while since I've updated my blog. Like always, I mostly concentrate on Facebook and Twitter. However, I do try to get on here at least once in a while. I used to be so much better about this. I'm sorry!

My revisions for Immortal Dreams Book 1:  Dream Weaver are coming along. I'll be sending them to my proof reader very soon, then I'll go through it again and get it out. I'm ready for this novel to be going out into the world. It's not a Third Realm novel, but I think it's a lot of fun. I'm classifying it as a New Adult Paranormal Romance. It does have magic in it, which lends a little bit of the fantasy to it.

New Adult is a fairly new designation. I was reading in article in a magazine about how it's not quite adult and not quite YA. In general, the characters tend to be between 18 and 25. It's based on getting into new adult situations--college, marriage, adulthood. (Most of what I'm saying is based on the article I read and what I've read around the internet about the genre). I plan for this to be a 3-book series. I have started writing the 2nd book, and the 3rd book is in the planning stages.

What about my Third Realm novels? All's Fair In Love & Lion is the first out of the Third Realm books and currently the only book that's published. As to more Third Realm stories? I still have to finish Loralyn Xavier's novel. The working title is Out Of The Flames.  Loralyn is on the Third Realm Council, and you meet her through Monroe--although he doesn't know much about her.  Her mystery and past lend for some interesting story ideas--which, I won't go into (it's a surprise).  I do have hopes to write another Third Realm novel. This one would focus on Quin Erone, the Nightshade who is also on the Council. He's an interesting creature in and of himself--but his story isn't quite developed completely in my mind, yet.  His story's working title is In The Shadows

I also have another project--a New Adult Paranormal one--that's lurking in the background. I won't reveal much about that. It's an idea I worked on years ago, but could never get it to come together. I'm hoping this time it will, but I'm not positive, yet.

There are plans for a spin-off series of the Immortal Dreams books.
I plan at least 2-books for the spin-off, with a possibility of other spin-offs later.  Right now, however, I'm focused on getting the 3 books of the Immortal Dreams series put together.

For those of you who have read All's Fair In Love & Lion is there a character you're longing to hear about? If so, leave a message in the comments and I'll answer it as best I can.

Have A Thrillingly Terrific Tuesday!

Get Thee A Nom De Plume!

Good Evening One & All, Shakespeare wrote in Romeo & Juliet, "What's in a name?...A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." Disney talked about names in Aladdin in the lyrics, "Better get a nom de plume ." (the song, "One Jump"). So, for a writer, what does a nom de plume (or, pen name) say about the author? It could be a different spelling of the author's name, it could be a name that has a significance. They could keep their first name, but change the last, or change both. A pen name is also the name a writer will write under for his or her books. The name that his or her readers will recognize them. The name on the autographs and the one where people will say, "Oh yes, that's so and so, they wrote..." Some authors write under their own names. Others, for a variety of reasons, choose a pen name. What about you? Are you considering a pen name? What have you looked at when thinking of your nom de plume ? For myself, I&
