Kiss It Goodbye...

Happy Tuesday Everyone,

Before I get to today's post, please answer the poll question located in the right hand margin of my blog (at the top). This is to get an idea of where my traffic is coming from and who knows...it might impact future posts and giveaways. But curiosity abounds, so please answer, thank you!

********GIVEAWAY PORTION OF THIS POST IS NOW CLOSED.***********

Today is the last day of my December Days Blog Giveaway...

This particular author is one of the sweetest and funniest authors I've ever met. She's been an inspiration to me, a guide, a support, and a friend. In my writer's group she's very well respected and well liked. In fact, it's hard not to like Christie Craig because she's got a lively spirit, and her books are just as lively. Case in point: Today (Tuesday, December 20, 2011) she is releasing her e-book, Murder Mayhem & Mama. This ebook is available 12/20/2011 on Barnes & Noble Nook and will be available on Amazon Kindle sometime in February 2012.

So while you're waiting for this Contemporary Romance romp to be available to you, Christie has graciously agreed to give away a signed in-print copy of her Contemporary Romance, Shut Up & Kiss Me:

A photo key to solving a murder mystery, and a spark...put it together, and who knows where it'll lead photojournalist Shala Winters and lawman Sky Gomez.

Humor, mystery, and romance...this book has it all. You don't want to miss out on the fun of a Christie Craig novel. Believe me. I absolutely love this book!

As always...there are rules to entering any giveaway, here's mine PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY:

***I will check with Christie to see if this is International or just USA Citizens and then I will edit this post accordingly. Please check back later in the day to find out.***  ***EDIT 12/20/2011 10:21 a.m. & 1:26 p.m.: As far as I know,  giveaway for USA Citizens ONLY.***

I'm pretty sure I found your site in an email from Kerrelyn Sparks. It was one of those "Go to and you could win one of my books" kind of things.

Get Thee A Nom De Plume!

Good Evening One & All, Shakespeare wrote in Romeo & Juliet, "What's in a name?...A rose by any other name would smell as sweet." Disney talked about names in Aladdin in the lyrics, "Better get a nom de plume ." (the song, "One Jump"). So, for a writer, what does a nom de plume (or, pen name) say about the author? It could be a different spelling of the author's name, it could be a name that has a significance. They could keep their first name, but change the last, or change both. A pen name is also the name a writer will write under for his or her books. The name that his or her readers will recognize them. The name on the autographs and the one where people will say, "Oh yes, that's so and so, they wrote..." Some authors write under their own names. Others, for a variety of reasons, choose a pen name. What about you? Are you considering a pen name? What have you looked at when thinking of your nom de plume ? For myself, I...

Spotlight On Author: Loretta Wheeler

Happy Tuesday Everyone, There's a gem of an author I've had the privilege of coming across...I'm talking about my friend, Loretta Wheeler. She's a sweetheart and very talented author. I enjoyed her YA Paranormal novella, The Pan Man immensely. And, she also writes Romance. So without further ado, come into my parlor and meet Loretta Wheeler: Me:  In your YA novelette, The Pan Man , you mention Pan's looking for his long lost soul mate. What made you choose Pan out of all the Greek/Roman gods and goddesses? Loretta:  I chose the Greek god Pan, because of the connection with the music. I found later on in the story, (my stories take over and write themselves usually) it applied even more than I realized because of the band's name. I won't mention the name of the band in here, because it's part of the surprise ending. Me:  You're mostly known for your Romance stories. How would you describe your writing style? Hot, suspenseful, sensual, sw...
