You develop this idea of what a person is like and generally it's exaggerated one way or another. The reality is, authors are people like everyone else. Even some of them get mad at roofers (a published author told me about that recently, I felt so bad for that person!)Bethanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04001921970529109760noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4246474599139548059.post-13606676963272662752009-09-08T11:25:06.140-05:002009-09-08T11:25:06.140-05:00Ciara,

I was in awe my first RWA chapter meeting but all of the ladies, including the more well known pubbed authors took me under their wing and showed me what true friendship is all about. Most are very gracious and helpful.Ciara Goldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05669829712304962140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4246474599139548059.post-47361404663475259092009-09-07T21:07:51.681-05:002009-09-07T21:07:51.681-05:00What "normal" is is different for everyo...What "normal" is is different for everyone. No matter who you are in life , famous or not you're still a person who eats, poops, and sleeps. It's true... To think otherwise is just naive in my opinion.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03884912115599229843noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4246474599139548059.post-16246971791559704442009-09-07T10:35:51.014-05:002009-09-07T10:35:51.014-05:00Tessy,

Everyone was so nice and "normal". I put quotes around normal because I think all of us writers have our own quirks.Bethanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04001921970529109760noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4246474599139548059.post-45743692121207480062009-09-06T23:14:34.764-05:002009-09-06T23:14:34.764-05:00Great post, Bethany!!

Susan Elizabeth Phillips, whose books I love, showed me pictures of her grandson. The list goes on and on...I feel so lucky to have met so many and to realize they're just normal people!

TessyAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
