A Bit Of This And That...

Happy Wednesday All, It's late in the afternoon when I'm writing this, but oh well. I've gotten the mock up cover art for Book Two of my Immortal Dreams Trilogy and love it. It's not totally finalized (I asked about something so I'm waiting to hear back on that) but I'm happy with the direction and everything. I don't know when I'll do a cover reveal for Book Two since it's not scheduled to come out until Fall of 2014.  Fountain in Frankenmuth, Michigan We have been soggy in my neck of the woods. Rain for almost 3 days straight. Monday poured, Tuesday poured and rained on and off, and then early morning today it was raining hard. There was quite a lot of thunder and lightning, but at least it wasn't like Tuesday morning when we thought we were going to be dealing with a tornado (the wind sounded a lot like it was trying to form one, thank goodness it didn't happen--I certainly said a prayer of thanks to God on that one!) Now no rain,

Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Cover Reveal--IMMORTAL DREAMS BOOK ONE: DIVINE LOVE

Happy Tuesday/Wednesday Everybody, I'm posting this on Tuesday night, so whenever you read it--whether Tuesday night or Wednesday during the day, happy that day to you! Today I'm pleased to do a cover reveal...for the first book in the Immortal Dreams Trilogy! So without further ado, I give you the cover art for Immortal Dreams Book One: Divine Love : I love it! I think it turned out lovely. The incredibly talented Fiona Jayde is the artist behind this cover. She also did the cover art for my novel that was published last year, All's Fair In Love & Lion . I really love her work. Anyway, enjoy! *PLEASE NOTE:  A notice regarding an issue with commenting shows up at the top of the comment box whenever you leave a comment--and some of my regular readers know this, but for those who don't, the message states that ALL comments come to me before being posted. The reason this happens is because there was a lot of trouble with people trying to post an

Return To Shadow Falls...

Happy Thursday Everybody, Originally I had planned to post this on Friday, but I've got several things going on in my world, so I figured I'd post it now. Today I have an official blog book review for you... Fans of C.C. Hunter 's Shadow Falls series rejoice! A new journey has begun... Della Tsang might be a bad ass vampire, but underneath her tough exterior you'll find a broken heart. Having hid the fact she's a vampire from her parents and sister, Della endures her parents' suspicions. She also deals with the fact the guy she was in love with before she turned has left her and (if we're honest, was something of a jerk one of the times she came across him). All she wants is her parents' love and affection, but does she dare tell them about her and her cousin, Chan--who, in fact, is not dead, but faked it when he got turned? This isn't all she has to deal with. Not by a long shot. There's a brand new being on the Shadow Falls camp

Any Wonder I Write Romance...

Happy Thursday Everybody, Me with my author copy of ALL'S FAIR IN LOVE & LION It's wonderful to be able to hold the physical book in hands! Before I get to today's topic, I just wanted to let anyone who didn't already know, All's Fair In Love & Lion is available in paperback! You can either order it through Amazon or you can order it through Barnes & Noble . Some of you have told me you've already put in orders. Thank you so much! I truly appreciate it.  So today is a very special day because... May 8th is me and Husband's 10th wedding anniversary. In some ways, it feels like the years have flown by. Other times, I know there were moments where it seemed like time crawled.  I still remember the day pretty well. I got up (I don't remember what time), showered, dressed, got my hair done.  After returning from the hairdresser, ate a quick cheese sandwich, boarded the limo and headed over to the Church. Once I got i

What's An Author To Do?

Happy Friday All, Recently I've gotten some questions that I want to address, but I don't want to come off harsh.  First off, let me say I sympathize with aspiring, not-yet-published authors. I've been there. I was there for years. It's hard, it's frustrating. It feels like your work will never get into the public eye. It feels hopeless and impossible. You're searching for that right combination and keep hoping someone--or something--will have the magical answer that will grant you that coveted title of "published author". Or, you're one of those authors who have queried, and queried, and queried and keep getting rejection letters and are so frustrated you don't know what to do. I've been there, too. The thing is, there's no magical potion, there's no short cut, there's no surefire combination. It truly is research, learning, growing, I don't even own a magic wand. being there with the right people at the right t
