Gatlinburg, Tennessee Part 1...

Happy Wednesday Night Folks,

Normally I don't "double-post" but I have a ton of pictures and I'm picking some to post on here, so I figure I'd break them into a series of posts.  Check for the captions on description for each picture.

At the resort me and my family stayed at in Gatlinburg, TN. It's up in the Smoky Mountains.
In the background, you can see a  marvelous view of the mountains.
Below is the construction of another cabin for the resort (there were A TON of cabins!)

Yet another gorgeous view

In downtown Gatlinburg, there's a bunch of charming shops, restaurants,
and attractions. I wish we could have done way more than we did.
The streets were almost always busy, but the people were nice

We went to an ice cream shop, and that was their Nutritional Warning LOL

We didn't go here, but anything Indiana Jones-esque catches my husband's eye
There were A LOT of places to do Miniature Golf
We did play one game of miniature golf, but it wasn't at this one
Like I sad--a TON of attractions!

This picture defines why they're called The Smoky Mountains

I have more pictures to share...and will get them up soon.

Have A Wonderful Wednesday Night!

Vacation, Books, Summer, & More!

Happy Wednesday All,

Oh my! I'm so behind. Last week, I was up in Gatlinburg, Tennessee at a resort for a family reunion. We flew out to Charlotte, North Carolina on July 14th, rented a car, and drove up to the resort.

Offspring and Husband went swimming at one of the resort pools and hiking in a National Park. I hung out with my family, answered posts on Christie Craig's blog (on July 16th--congratulations to Kathleen O. for winning a copy of All's Fair In Love & Lion. Hope you enjoy it).

Thursday we had a baby shower for my brother and his wife. That was fun.

Friday we went out to Dollywood for the day. Offspring and Husband are far more adventurous about rides than I am, but that was okay. I walked through the water that they had misting around for park-goers to cool off. Of course, I probably shouldn't have bothered since later we got totally drenched by a rain shower. However, before that happened, we saw birds of prey (including a bald eagle and golden eagle--too cool!) heard some great singing, saw a fantastic bubble show (the woman and her family had been in the Guinness Book of World Records for a 50 foot bubble wall) and fun with family.

I have pictures, but I haven't loaded them up, yet, so you'll have to wait on those.

On Saturday we went to evening Church, then out to dinner at one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. It's called The Cabin Cafe. They make everything fresh (from things they get locally) and the best cup of coffee I've had in years was to be had there from the Vienna Coffee Co. The restaurant was kind enough to let me and my rather large family invade their premises after normal closing hours. They were friendly and very hospitable. All of us were greatly impressed with the food and people.

I honestly thought I'd be much cooler in the Smoky Mountains. I was in for a rude awakening. The sun was very hot, and I actually opted to run the air conditioning very cold at night.

Despite the weather--both rain and heat--we had a blast.

I finished reading Kerrelyn Sparks' Less Than A Gentleman, set during the American Revolutionary War. Totally awesome novel. Definitely recommend.

I also have read Shona Husk's Summons, which is a very short prequel to The Goblin King, which I plan to get. I'm interested to see what happens next.

I'm currently reading Marie Hall's Her Mad Hatter.

Do you notice a theme with the last stories I mentioned? Yep, fairy-tale/fantasy type stuff. With the release of All's Fair In Love & Lion, and me working on the revisions to Immortal Dreams Book 1:  Dream Weaver, and book 2 in the AFIL&L universe, I've apparently decided to immerse myself in all things mythology, fantasy, and fairy-tale--and of course, romance.

How has your Summer been going? Any vacation trips?

Have A Whimsically Wonderful Wednesday

Pantser Or Plotter?

Happy Thursday All,

I'm a little late posting this...so please forgive me.

First of all, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to everyone who has already purchased All's Fair In Love & Lion. I do hope you enjoy it.  If you haven't gotten a chance, and want to, it's available on Amazon Kindle.

Today I'm on Stop #4 of the Bethany Averie AFIL&L Blog Tour, and I'm guest posting on Dana Wright's Bookgirl Knitting. What's my writing process? Am I a pantster or a plotter? Which did I use to write AFIL&L? Come find out!

The Grand Debut!

Happy Tuesday (well almost Wednesday),

I'm so excited! Thrilled beyond believe. Late in the evening Tuesday night, All's Fair In Love & Lion went "live" on Amazon Kindle!!

Thank you to Soul Mate Publishing for publishing it! You all have been so helpful. I really appreciate it.

You can buy it by clicking right here.  Hope all of you who buy it enjoy it!

Let The Countdown Begin!

Happy Tuesday Everybody,

If you look in the right hand margin (I hope everyone can see it) you'll see the countdown clock for when All's Fair In Love & Lion is released. If you can see it, you'll notice there's just HOURS left to wait!

I can hear Monroe (in his lion form) roaring his approval. He's ready for him and Sasha's grand debut into the published world. You can share in his joy and anticipation tomorrow and buy the book from Amazon Kindle. From what I understand from my publisher, the book will be available in other e-formats about 3 months from now, and several more months from now available in-print. When I get more of those details, I'll pass them along.

Based on Frequently Asked Questions I've gotten:  Yes, I will post links on where to get it. No, as far as I know, it's not available for pre-order.

I think that covers it.

Tomorrow I'll also be appearing on Melissa Ohnoutka's Eat Read
Rate. This is an article I wrote about how I became a writer and some other nifty little tidbits.

Thursday I'll be on Dana Wright's Bookgirl Knitting book blog to talk about my writing process (can you guess what my process is? Find out if you're right on Thursday!)

Friday, my awesome critique partner, Tess St. John will have an interview I did with the hero, Monroe. What does Monroe have to say about the release? Find out on Friday!

Also releasing tomorrow, is my chapter mate, and author pal, Linda Bennett Pennell. Her book has the same deal as mine (we're both with Soul Mate Publishing) and her novel is called Al Capone At The Blanche Hotel, and I must say, it looks intriguing. :-)

Have A Terrifically Tasty Tuesday!

It's One Week Until...

Happy Wednesday All,

While writing this, the Barenaked Ladies song, One Week is playing in my head. Why? Because today marks ONE WEEK before the July 10th release of my debut Romance novel, All's Fair In Love & Lion! (If I hear otherwise, I'll let you know, but I haven't heard that the date is any different).

The Soul Mate Publishing Blog post, and the Four Foxes One Hound are just the first two appearance in the blog tour. For more information on upcoming blog appearances, click here. I've been asked to be on another blog. So far the date is for July 16th, but I'll let you know once all the details get ironed out. I've already put it in the margins--it's Laugh. Love. Read. Blog, and I'll be the guest of NY Times Best Seller, Christie Craig (she's one of my chapter mates, and I think the world of her. Very talented writer, and really sweet).

This Thursday is also the 4th of July Independence Day for the USA. We don't have any special plans, however I got a fun light up spin-around toy thing that I think we'll have fun with in the evening. Offspring likes fireworks. I'm not always big on seeing them in person (traffic can be a real pain) but we'll see. We often watch the specials on TV, or stand outside and watch the fireworks our neighbors set off.  Do you have any special plans for the 4th of July?

Anyway...thank you to everyone who has come out to the blogs so far and commented. Each blog post is going to be different, so please don't fail to come out. Each comment on the blog on the various blogs (and this one) is also a big show of support and I appreciate each and every one them. Thank you!

Have A Tip-Top Tuesday!
